61. #54 One problem Peace Activist
Sam Weinstein ,   USA   (11.22.06)
One why don't they also sit or live in a school in Sederot and act as a shield against the rockets there if they are sincere. Being Anti War is one thing taking sides is another
62. Priest's scandals in the USA
Dr D ,   Jerusalem   (11.22.06)
This one instead of the company of young boys would like maybe in a change the company of 72 virgins......if he die like a shaid under fire.
63. Thank you, Rustum, UK #41+48
Thank you, #41+48 ,   Sweden   (11.22.06)
Thank you for adding depth to this Talkback. Finally someone who values freedom of speech AND the worth of human life, Israeli, Palestinian or otherwise, regardless of religion and/or political belief. To those of you who say the protesters must die,I disagree on many levels to this. But not even you can seriously consider it. Consider this: Israel relies heavily on its American support, both economical and political, with it's strong position in the UN and internationally. Now, this article doesn't say where the priest and nun were from, but their names imply either America or England. As we all know, the western world, especially America, takes quite badly to people who kill their civilians. Were the IDF to start killing western protesters, Israel will lose its allies and can consider its days numbered.
64. #55 Libneniyyeh
Rustum ,   London, UK   (11.22.06)
I love your accent! Had I been born in beautiful Beirut I would be a libnaani, but sadly, as it is, I am not even a Lubnani.
65. #23, #48 Collaborators of Terrrorists
H ,   Jerusalem   (11.22.06)
If a murderer runs into a private home whether it's the home from a nun, priest or whoever, and the homeowner would not allow the police to capture this murderer, the homeowner is an equal partner in the crime. If priests and nuns are such righteous people, they should rather protect the innocent Israelis in Sderot who are bombarded with rockets daily from their terrorist friends. Human shields covering the terrorists are equal partners in the crime. The Talmud states that if one is merciful to the cruel, he ends up being cruel to the merciful. And that's exactly what the liberal left peace activists are doing.
66. #57 you are in dallas ,usa
(11.22.06)
What makes you know more than Theo from Sweden ? He is closer to the Middle East than you. so buzz off.
67. #57 Actually the only difference is that Theo in Sweden is
(11.22.06)
more civilised than you !
68. To #37 Here's a link to your own newspaper.
M. Hartley ,   Atlanta, US   (11.22.06)
You must not read your local newspapers. Here's a link that will enlighten you.. http://www.jihadwatch.org/dhimmiwatch/archives/003131.php
69. Priests protect the child molesters among them, too.
Elana ,   LA, USA   (11.22.06)
The mass murderers' homes contain weapons used to murder innocent people. So this priest and nun are on the side of terrorism. Protecting child molesters and now terrorists. What's next?
70. Expect Keith Ellison (Democrat), Kofi Annan as shield too..!
KMR ,   Middle East   (11.22.06)
71. Father Peter Dougherty, go back to Chiapas!
enzo ,   london,uk   (11.22.06)
At least when he went to Chiapas (Mexico- Fri, 16 Jan 1998) he went to help the poor. But here in Gaza he's protecting terrorists...
72. Fadi: When will the world intervene?
MARK ,   USA   (11.22.06)
The world is taking no concrete action to stop the violence. That also bothers me. Silence of the world has allowed death and destruction.
73. These 1% Giving the Other 99% a Bad Name
emanon ,   USA   (11.22.06)
74. This Catholic would like to apologize to Israel.
Daisy ,   USA   (11.22.06)
The majority of American Catholics support Israel and would be ashamed of these terrorist supporters. God is with Israel not the terrorists.
75. Rustum;Lecture your fellow Arab bigots about tolerance.
Daisy ,   USA   (11.22.06)
Jews and Christians don't need to hear crap from you or Fadi. Why aren't you boycotting Israel? Throw away your computer and leave us alone!
76. Rustum and Lib; Arab terrorists match made in heaven.

77. dacon 9
charles ,   petach tikva   (11.22.06)
maybe some in the high level of the church collaborated . Not all the most near to the people priest and nuns . A French Monseigneur had even an anti jewish laws letter read in his churches . So do not generalize , their were fantastic good people among them . I know about what i'm talking . And you probably not .
78. In response to #57
Theo ,   Sweden   (11.22.06)
I am quite aware of Israel's geographical position, smack dab in the middle of the Islamic world. I have also travelled more than most people, and I am almost certain I have talked to many more Arabs, muslim or not, than you have. If either one of us are naive, it is you. Having spent several years in the US, I have found that the main problem with the country is all too many people see things in black and white, categorize everything into two categories, defined entirely by their own values. Good, and Evil. There is no Good, no Evil. Only different perspective, different conditions. What Israel fights is not evil. It is a tiny yet growing minority of religious people housing great anger caused by a combination of Poverty, ages of unrelenting war, and having to move from most of palestine as the country of Israel was founded (without arab consent) after WW2. This "Evil" you speak of cannot be fought with force. For every man, woman or child you kill, another ten will raise their fists in anger, and the poverty will only grow. If this is your definition of evil, then true, evil cannot be fought with words. Then evil can only be fought with bread, water, medicine and peace. I do not use the words Good or Evil. But should I define them, they would be "Constructive" and "Destructive". And does not then the Good become Evil the moment it starts using force to deal with its problems? And who would be evil if not us consumers, who destroy so much more than we build? Before you start using the terms "Good" and "Evil", define them. How would you define them?
79. #53 are you an idiot or something !? is there an extra hole

fadi ,   lebanon   (11.22.06)
84. interesting
Arie ,   Afula   (11.22.06)
Not one comment or concern from them about the muHAMedans butchering Coptic Christians in egypt and the ongoing genocide against Christians in Darfur. This must be their way of distracting from the child-molestation scandals of the church!
85. United
Paul ,   Kit Canada   (11.22.06)
Hey Hani what world are you living in.
86. Why don't the priest and nun join Qassam launchers?
Uzi   (11.22.06)
They may score a double whammy; shield cute terrorists and actively help kill slimy Israelis.
87. In response to #68
Theo ,   Sweden   (11.22.06)
I agree that sweden, just like every other western country, has problems. We have the problem that the immigrants we take in, almost all of them are put in the same districts, districts that turn into slums because of the lack of jobs, proper schools and cultural variation. Though a vast procentage of these immigrants are from the Middle East, most of them are highly or completely secularized, and I have yet to talk to a single one supporting any terrorist in any sense of the word. And next time, before you start judging a country sorely on what you have read on an AMERICAN anti-muslim site, consider these facts: America has a murder rate of 4.2 per 100,000 people per year, Sweden has less than half, at 1.8.
88. #19 i understand you. Truth usually hurts. if ur that jewish
fadi ,   lebanon   (11.22.06)
oriented why dont u caome back to Sedrot and support ur fellow people from close range instead of being in the US and getting dumber every day from watching CNN and the other Cartoon networks!
89. #67, yeah, Europe is more civilized, right
SAM ,   USA   (11.22.06)
If Europe was actually civilized at all there would never have been a need for an Israel. It is primarily because of the sins of Europeans that Israel exists. Is it just Jews? NO!!!! Look at what the European has done the world over. South America, Central America, NORTH AMERICA, Africa. Europe created the need for people like Jews to seek thier historical homeland. You should have some shame #67. Or maybe you want to take the bow for your "Civilization"? For all the nonsense you people talk about Americans, at least we recognize our European forefathers were barbarians who did injustices to the indiginous peoples.
90. give them their 20 seconds
