Lebanon was once a Christian country. It was a Western country in the Middle East. Then, they were invaded by Arafatists--Trojan Horse and Islamist-Jihadists which culminated in the war between the Lebanese Christians (the original people of Lebanon) and the Arafatists and Islamist-Jihadists in the mid--1970s. Lebanese Christians in their villages were slaughtered by the Islamist-Jihadists that were supported by the surrounding Islamist-Jihadist states. Had it not been for the timely intervention of Israel in the late 1970s and early 1980s, the Lebanese Christians would have been wiped out. Ironically, the West-Europe stood by and never came to stop the bloodshed in Lebanon. America sent their marines as peace-keepers. But when they were blown into bits by Arab Islamist-Jihadist demon-possessed suicide truck bomber, the Americans withdrew. Israel, America, Europe, the West as a whole and the Free World face the same common Enemy--Islamist-Jihadism--Terrorism--Fascism. I don't think changing the gov't is bad at all. If the majority of people in Lebanon feel that Siniora is incapable of leading, then he should go, BUT, if you allow Hezballah to gain even an inch of power, they will take a mile and will drag Lebanon down with it. we all know that Hezballah started the last "war" with Isarel. Youi people embraced them instead of condemning them. They will only isolate you internationally ( becuase no country will deal with terrorists) and make your lives worse. No way did the Muslim population come into existance in Lebanon in the late date you refer to with the Palestinian exodus. As a pure Lebanese, one who studied our history in our secular schools and universities, I can tell you that this information is completely wrong, a fabrication of a minority of Christians who have a superiority complex and like to think of themselves as Phoenecians, not Arabs. We are Arabs because we Arabic is our native language. And for your info, only last week a great Patriarch was in Ottawa and gave a superb lecture on Christianity in the Middle East, saying we must all be one because we are all Arabs. But then you just cant stand the idea. You see my friend, this is how Israel and the states try to infiltrate our country.
