4. #2 George Bush Must Resign
Mark ,   USA   (12.01.06)
If not there will be World War III ! Bush uses constant propaganda to encourage Americans to hate Muslims. He keeps scaring people. I used to believe it but thanks to you I know the truth. Bush has brainwashed Americans especially American Jews. That promotes more violence and war. That makes it worse for Israel and the whole world. He makes people think the military way is the only way. He is evil.
5. Fadi: The Bush democracy =War Chaos
Mark ,   USA   (12.01.06)
He wanted this in Iraq. What happened chaos, civil war. He wanted this in Lebanon. What happened war, chaos See the pattern He uses Israel by encouraging it to attack Lebanon,Iran, and Syria. He openly said he would understand if Israel attacked Iran. He needs Israel to do his agenda.
6. Fadi: He wants a Palestinian democracy
Mark ,   USA   (12.01.06)
He wants chaos. He claims there is a war on terror and claims Hamas a "terror organization" but allows the "terror organization" called Hamas to run in election. He wants to spread terrorism by calling it democracy throughout the Mid-East.
7. blame israel
Ron ,   Lebanon   (12.01.06)
We blame israel everyday for not finishing off the job in July.... it is sad, but true...
8. Fadi, make up your mind
(12.01.06)
One second you love Hezbollah and want Iran to take over Lebanon and the next you are against Nazrallah? How do you expect people of normal intelligence to understand you? Do you want a secular government or not? Do you want to have a just peace with The world, including Israel or would you rather follow the crazed theocracy of Iran? Do you or don't you want Syria to occupy Lebanon? Since "Palistinians" didn't mind the Jordanian and Egyptian occupation of thier territories, it would be interesting to see if that is the same case with Lebanese of your thinking and Iran and Syria. Make up your mind

11. The other side of Democracy, what next??
Simon Mohammed ,   VA, USA   (12.01.06)
While The Pro Hizbullah, pro Syrian, pro iranian are marching peacfull way, to shut down the only offical entity 'Government' That same government has support from the rest of the civilized and moderate country loves lebanon too. and it is playing by the democratic rules too. They are not using the army to shut down the protester and are listining to the claim. The Paradox: what next? onther desater in the center of the country like the one in the south. What is the point? what interest is in the game? The lebanese people, the west, or the iranian/syrian one?. The lebanon interest need to be in the top priority and should be discuused in offices. taking down a government without any suggestion is a black path. The lebanese Army need to be the winer in a sens of unifying the country and protecting the people, public property and the lebanese souverinaty. Saying that, mean all the gun need to be unified under the Army. A government of unity of all forces who put the lebanesse interest first and before any thing should have control over that army. Allies interest can be put in perspective after all of this without having the west, Syria, Iran interest play in this. Like the shite-sunni killing episode in Iraq need to end. The shite card in Lebanon need not to mistake again. We are talking about an Arab matter, who happened to be played and attacked from every were. Sunnis and shite, christian etc are in Fact Arab to start with. May this be a wake up call for all. Good luck

14. Nasrallah Exploiting Lebanese Weakness on Behalf of IranSyir
david ,   seabright usa   (12.01.06)
ia. lets face it, Lebanon doesn't have much going for it other then the fact it could be turned into a tourist vacation paradise as it once was. But lets be real, despite the fact that Lebanon could be a 2nd mecca, the Islamic world has other plans. Lebanon's proximity to Israel makes it a desirable and strategic outpost in the war against Israel, which the Islamic majority has been waging since before Israels extablishment in 48'. Egypt, Jordan, Syria all Israels bordering neighbors, all empires tightly controled, except Lebanon. This makes Lebanon the most vurnerable country and as we see today, Nasrallah is trying to lead an old fashioned Islmaic revolution, to take over the elected governement in the interests of preparing for war. Nasrallah cares nothing for the Lebanese people in general, neither do the countries backing him. Their goals are simple, to set up another Islamic state in the middle east whose use will be to strictly build up an arsonal and prepare for attacks on Israel. The world will also sit back and let this happen because it doesn't understand, nor does it want to. The complexities of this equation requires historical context, the essence of humanity in this region as well as numerious other varaibles such as religion and education. The world is too distracted, uninformed and self indulging to recognize and react to whats going on.
15. The only one who can help the Lebanase people is Israel
fadi, lebanon   (12.01.06)
16. #2 why ? Israel is to support Nasrallah now ?, fake !
(12.01.06)
17. To all Phoenicians
Ryan ,   Calgary, Canada   (12.01.06)
Granting Nasrallah more power will not ensure your sovereignty or protect your free will. This will only make you a Persian colony once again and your innocent loved ones will be used as cannon fodder against Israel to appease your Persian masters.
18. Lebanon will be part of Syria
Itzik ,   Haifa   (12.01.06)
After Bush Sr. advisors decided that Iraq is "part" of Iran, Syria decided that Lebanon will be part of Syria. Omert managed in less than a year to install Hamas in Gaza and Judea and Samaria, and Hizbullah in Lebanon. Who pays Olmert for his job? Wealthy US donnors? Soros?
19. Impeach George Bush!!
Mark ,   USA   (12.01.06)
20. #4, Mark...you are very disturbing...
DR ,   Florida, USA   (12.01.06)
How do people get so paranoid and delusinoal like you? Bush is not perfect by any means, but to call him evil shows how ignorant and brainwashed you are. Americans who voted for him want security and peace. Sometimes (as in Worlw War 2) peace has a heavy price. If you think we should give up on the war on terror, then you must be a terrorist. Any thoughts?

You are absolutely right! Israel have the worst government ever! I feel sorry for Lebanese.
22. #4
Oleg ,   Milwaukee, USA   (12.01.06)
Wake up Mark, WWIII is already up and running, but Bush has nothing to do with this. Say thank you to your fellow democrat Clinton, who did not know what to do with it.
23. #5
Oleg ,   Milwaukee, USA   (12.01.06)
Cm'n! What will happen with the world when fanatics in Iran get nuclear weapon? You do not know, do you? They do not care to die themselves, why do you think they will care about us? I hate pacifists -- their position to hide their heads in the sand never worked and more people died after all. WWII is the perfect example. Don't you think if Britain and France would take care of Hitler at the start of his career (they could do this when he annexed Sudets) millions would be saved? You do not get it, do you? How pathetic!

Oleg ,   Milwaukee, USA   (12.01.06)
Mark, just admit that you hate Bush. This is probably something personal, I guess.
25. #18
Oleg ,   Milwaukee, USA   (12.01.06)
You pay -- only in Israel such an idiot could become PM and only in Israel Peretz (trade union leader who fighted with government) could become a Minister of Defence. Unbelievable!
26. Iran wins in Lebanon
Foley ,   Manchester, England   (12.01.06)
It seems that Iran has moved next door to Israel. Now there is no option left for Israel expect to live like good neighbours. Iranian group Hezbollah managed to give Israel a bloody nose in the July war. And Israeli Generals are paying the price for their failure in that confrontation. It seems that US and Israel both get their fingers burnt when they take on Iran and its proxies. Its time to end hard rhetoric on all sides and sit down and establish good relations. No harm in trying.
27. Lebonan claims its democracy, The real one!
Tayfun_Turkey ,   Istanbul   (12.01.06)
Lebonan government is not a democratic, shiites are represented less than their weight in society. Their Constitution is implanted by France to keep some Christian minorities in the power. Current balance of powers is just minority dictatorship. A brief decription of historical roots and current implications may be found in Robert Fisk: A French colonial legacy of despair http://news.independent.co.uk/world/fisk/article2013319.ece I believe whether one likes Hizbullah or not Their democratic demands should be respected as long as they do respect democracy.
28. #26
Oleg ,   Milwaukee, USA   (12.01.06)
You are right -- Iran is winning in Lebanon, You are right Israel is paying the price for the failure. You are wrong to sit down with the country that is determined to wipe your country off the map. Iran is ruled by fanatics who do not care for anything in THIS world. They can agree with you on something just to get more time to prepare themselves for fighting. With our technology we do not need to actually invide the enemy's country with ground troops -- all we have to do is to destroy their mobility and let them carry theit operation on donkeys and camels. The war doctrine should be changed. This is simple and painless.
29. DR, Florida, I have a few thoughts
Ryan ,   Calgary, Canada   (12.01.06)
I agree with everything you say, that Mark guy sounds like a young kid that knows nothing of history. But there are strings being pulled and a grander scheme then the day to day events. It is my belief that both Bush and Olmert, want an Iranian controlled Syria, Hizbullah and Lebanon. I believe that Saddam was a balancing power in the region, they removed him to eliminate this balance and pave the way for an Iranian takeover of the area. As for WMD's in Iraq, of course there was, they are now in Syria, the chemical and biological agents for these weapons, not nukes though, were sold to Iraq in the 80's by US companies. I'll find a source if you if required. I believe they want a united ME front, to prevent pacifists and left wingers from causing too much hassle, and to help garner support for a full out war at a large scale. This i believe is why Hizbullah wasn't crushed, the US is not attacking Iran yet. Israel is showing too much restrain. They are taking there time, and letting the enemy get strong enough.
30. Fadi dear
mrs fadi ,   Israel/lebanon   (12.01.06)
at last you post with good sense re #15 remarks. Sure it is Fadi, and any other fadi remarks should be ignored. Yes Ron, Israel should have finished the job. Siniora is as bad as Olmert. Neither can rid Lebanon of hisboola and the Syria/Iranian regime
