I don't agree with the premise of this well written article...which ultimately insinuates that Israel should do a preemptive strike but won't or can't because the current government is too weak. I think it is a sign of great strength not to attack...and especially not because Ezekial's prophesy looks like it may be relevant today. Ancient prophesies have seemed relevant at various points throughout histroy, usually when times are bad and have given rise to false Mesiahs (Shabbtai Tsvi to name one). In general, like modern day statistics, prophesies can be interpreted according to whatever message one wants to promote.

This Bedoin doesn't even know Arabic. Gog, or Yaajuj doesn't mean anything in Arabic, and Magog, or Maajuj, doesn't have a meaning in Arabic either!

It is no wonder that the Muslim pseudo-prophesies sound familier: Muhammed twisted the Jewish and Christian prophesies he heard from travelers and incorporated these into Muslim tradition. This is the reason why the Mahdi and the breaking of the peace treaty sound so familiar. We should give no heed to the "prophesies" of unbelievers. Understand this: Ezekiel 38 and 39 tells us G-d will CRUSH the invading forces. After this humiliating defeat, "Islamofascism" (radical Islam) will be eradicated from the earth. Why? Because Muhammed preached that Islam is destined to rule the earth. If it truly was, then they would never be defeated. This will open the minds and hearts of millions of Muslims toward the TRUE G-d of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. In the meantime, we should all pray for the peace of Jerusalem -- not to hasten the fulfillment of Ezekiel 38 and 39, but because G-d's chosen people deserve no less than peace after all they have suffered.

As a show of respect to Israel and it's people which is the greatest nation and people on earth, the "o" was ommitted as I referred to our creator. To #44, how wonderfully said and I totally agree as another christian who btw is not trying to convert any here to christianity as some seem concerned from postings on Ynet. I believe it is G-d who will make all of Israel one day see their messiah and what a wonderful day that will be. He will wipe away all tears. There will be no more hiding in bomb shelters, no more hatred, no more murderers. There is a generation of younger christians that understands that of course if you ask us about Yeshua we will tell you why we believe in him as Lord but I believe as well we are to stand with Israel REGARDLESS, respect each others beliefs and help each other in these trying times. Think about what you're saying. No one but G-d could have brought to power a small group of people in the 1920's to a whole empire in 10 years that was willing to challenge the world. Yet America which was powerful for decades couldn't get Vietnam right. By the way the Talmud in Tractate Megillah brings down a prayer Yaacov prayed to G-d that G-d should not release the nose ring of his brother Esau and the Talmud explains because otherwise Germany will destroy the world. The Torah says straight out by Isaac's blessing to Esau that when the Jews fall and stop doing their job, Esau's children will go after him with the sword until they repent. I would like to point out that MOST people FAIL to read Ez.36&37 BEFORE they read Ez.37&38!!! In order to understand the correct TIME flow of Ez.37&38 we see that in Ez.36&37 that the 12 tribes of Israel have been restored and thart David is raised as a king and prince over the tribes. All of this ties into Zechariah where Messiah comes back and steps out into real earth time history on the mount of Olives. We see that through the various prophecies of the minor and major prophets that the land of Israel is to be restored to the fertility and beauty of the Garden of Eden and that the wealth of the nations will flow into Jerusalem to honor Messiah!!! It is in the LATTER years, AFTER this restoration and the blessings of the tribes that Gog will attack Israel. Too many teachers fail to read Ez.36&37 BEFORE Ez.37&38 and therefore get a screwed up and false interpretation of these events. Now, I don't preclude that there would not or could not be smaller representations of wars with Israel and these people in the here and now, BUT...the section of Scripture that is being addressed is far into the distant future. The GREAT battle before this, which will be upon us in the near future is the Battle of Armeggedon, when ALL nations will be gathered against Jerusalem for Messiah to fight against them and to judge them. Only 1/6th of the people that fight against Jerusalem will survive in order to tell their nations that they go back to what a great God that Israel has!!!
