Hope you will become a grandmother soon. It will be the most wonderful gift of your life.
2. I wish Israel's greatest singer would visit us in the UK
Gili Simons ,   Brighton, UK   (12.14.06)
It's so difficult trying to follow what she's up to when you don't read Hebrew and can't check concert listings ;-) But, long may she continue singing and I will one day have my dream of seeing her live.
3. Ilanit correction
Ruti ,   Philadelphia, PA USA   (12.23.06)
Ilanit's son is from her second marriage. Her first marriage was to Shlomo Tzach, and he and Ilanit did not have children.
4. To #3: you're wrong
Marni ,   New York City, USA   (12.23.06)
Ilanit was never married to Shlomo Zach, and her son is definitely from her first marriage. She and her second husband have only been married for 27 years and her son is 31.

Reading this article, i am very pleased. I grew up in Brazil and remember watching the special "Christmas in the Holly Land" - "Um Natal na Terra Santa"; I LOVED it and had it taped on a cassette; we didnt even had a VCR yet! I remember her jokes of words in Hebrew and English (mi is "who" and hu is "he" and hi is she ..) Plus the beautiful Jerusalem Land of Tradition song! Since them, never forgot her ! MAZAL TOV!

Shalom! Does anyone know if she has an official website? If so, I hope there is an English version of it in addition to the Hebrew version. I can't read Hebrew characters and only know a few things in the language. I would love to learn more though. She has such a great voice and I would love to see her perform in person. Ilanit, ani ohevet otach!
