ahmadinejaad did enjoy his last gasps just yesterday when he was 100% defeated by the moderate/conservative party in iran. it was embarassing and a shame to him and everyone including ahmi know it. iranians are dissatisfied with him politically and economical. the country is suffering poverty, unemployment, etc.... most iranians are young! they want change and this political defeat of today together with students' demonstrations on the streets of teheran and other cities is the looking glass of the future of this megalomaniac islamic fanatic leader. they don't want to go down with him, and they're coming out loud and clear in protest. it seems that maybe, just maybe we'll get rid of him without having to bomb him. syria will be doomed as well. without ahmadinejaad, assad is nobody! just a puppet state which will go down the tubes with ahmadinejaad. oy, god! what would russia and china do then? they'll have no one they can refuse to sanction.
32. Golan Heights- the key to the destruction of Damascus
john ,   nz   (12.19.06)
must have got the height and elevation Iran needs to launch missile strike into Israel. and Iran is using Assad to do the begging and bargaining to get it back... by hook or by crook. 2 scenarios here, If diplomacy fails, I think Syria will use force with Iran's help. This is when Damascus will be destroyed. If Olmert relented and gave back Golan, Syria would use this strategic location to attack Israel and Damascus will be destroyed too. So Assad, either way, you are a loser.
