M. Hartley ,   Atlanta, US   (12.19.06)
It sounds good until you get caught.
2. Dirty deals
Itzik ,   Haifa   (12.19.06)
And you thought that olmert is the smartest dealer on earth. Baker makes in a day more than Olmert-Livni in a month from dirty deals.
3. Baker is an Antisemite with 0 Morality
Semsem ,   New York, USA   (12.19.06)
Baker is an immoral antisemite; arragant, pompous.
4. Ma Nishtana Halilah Hazeh
Jeff ,   Cherry Hill, NJ USA   (12.19.06)
No news here.
5. And Annan sold out.....
jc ,   usa   (12.19.06)
Baker sold out Israel, Annan sold out the US where Iraq was concerned so that he and all the other heads of that vile institution could make millions upon millions of dollars so that the innocent in their country died from the lack of the simpliest basic needs to survive. Does anybody notice a trend here? Why do the powerful fall so quickly and hard into corruption? Even so come quickly Lord Jesus.
6. Arrest Baker n Adnan now and charge them
john ,   nz   (12.19.06)
They are high level, white collar, daylight robbers using political status to cover up their crimes.
7. WAITING.......
Avi ,   NY   (12.19.06)
for Bush and Company to REFUTE Baker for dragging Israel into the peace in Iraq equation. Thus far Bush has refuted some parts of the Baker report but NOT on the salacious premise that Israel has anything at all to do with the fact there is no peace in Iraq or the whole of the ME for that matter. By not refuting it he AGREES WITH IT.
8. During Reagan's Term
Jesse ,   Chicago   (12.19.06)
Baker was quoted in major US newspapers as saying, "F- the Jews. They don't vote for us anyways".
9. Bush Baker Beans for millions
Milo Peres ,   Tijeras/USA   (12.19.06)
Baker of all beans for Bush is a plan to undermind Israel government and country as a whole. He is not a true player for Israeli interests but a "snake crawling through the grass" to extort as much cash for his own company and personal interests. Israel, beware!
10. He's also paid ALOT defending Saudi Arabia in a law suit
concerning 911   (12.19.06)
I don't understand how he was appointed to form ISG. When Saudis, who pay him alot of money say the cause for Irack is Israel, (while they are sending money to the Sunni insurgents there), can he even afford to do the rational thing and laugh in their faces? he simply can't afford to see the grotesqueness in that, not to mention even doubt any point in their words. I don't get it. I just don't. What am I missing here?
12. Baker is a darling of the left
Jim ,   Chicago   (12.19.06)
He is the hero of the left. He was a big supporter of Rabin and Barak and Hated Bibi. When Sharon was elected in 2001 he wrote a very long pease for NY Times claiming that Sharon is right-wing extremist. The piece was full of hate. But then he became the strogest supporter of Sharon (he always loved Peres) and Sharon's disengagement. The guy never liked Israel.
13. to #1
Mark ,   USA   (12.19.06)
Last I checked Baker was a theiving Republican shilling for that imbecile Bush and his Saudi loving family of losers.
14. What Makes Baker Run?
Leslie White ,   Newport News USA   (12.20.06)
Baker is the prime example of the power-wielders driven by greed not morals. With such as he, we will lose against the idealists--the jihadist who do not seek earthly riches but death. The people behind the jihadists, those that send them out, are as corrupt as all power elites.
15. Baker One
Charlie   (12.20.06)
The first James Baker was of course John Foster Dulles. Also a lawyer, he and his brother were consiglieris to Dubya's grandfather back in the days when Grandpa Bush was, inter alia, a money launderer for Fritz Thyssen and the Nazis. Miraculously, Dulles emerged as Secretary of State under Eisenhower in time to screw the British, French, and Israelis at Suez, in the process safeguarding Nasserism which inspired the overthrow two years later of the Iraqi king and led us eventually to Saddam. Such are the wisdom and ethics of the 'realists' in the American foreign policy establishment.
