61. #26 Myth about US and European "sophistication"
Dan ,   Israel   (12.27.06)
I have extensive experience from the US and Europe and can safely say that the myth about European and US social "sophistication" is nothing else but just that: a myth. You will find millions of rude and primitive people in both the US and Europe just like you find countless wonderful people in both Israel, the US and Europe, so cut the bull-shit about "rude" Israeli "Rambo".
62. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU NUDNIKS?
Dan ,   Israel   (12.27.06)
A person who has never been to Israel and would only read articles like this one, would think that Israel is hell on earth. Yes, we have our share of incompetent politicians, socio-economic problems, crazy car drivers, rude people and high taxes. What about the US or Europe? I have extensive experience from the US, UK and Sweden and I am asking you who keep bashing Israel all the time: where is your paradise in the world? Visiting London or New York as a tourist is not the same thing as living there which countless Israelis who think that the grass is greener there quickly discovers. There is a lot of rude people, stupid politicians, high crime, poverty and non-existing social welfare in the US. Europe "offers" high taxes, rude people, incompetent and corrupt politicians, antisemitic propaganda, high unemployment and rising socio-economic problems. What about appreciating Israel's impressive economic development, Israel's high-tech industry and medical research which is second to none? My extensive international experience has taught me that when things really go bad there is no one else that I would prefer to have next to me than my fellow Israelis who open their hearts and help in a selfless way which is very rare in the US or in Europe. I prefer living in my own home in Israel and make it a better place instead of seeking for imaginary "nirvana" in the US or Europe.
63. Widening ones horizons and appreciating Israel
Dan ,   Israel   (12.27.06)
It is good that more and more nirvana-seeking Israelis travel abroad and try to live in the US or in Europe. This experience will teach them the hard way that living in New York or London is not the same is being a tourist there with your Israeli pals. Once the first romance wears off, you will discover plenty of ugly, cold and rude people, poverty, socio-economic problems, crime, violence, dirty streets, crazy drivers, corruption and brain-dead politicians. On top of that, the US "offers" poor social welfare and Europe "offers" high taxes and brain-drain. Welcome to the "sophisticated paradise" of the US and Europe.
