1. I never really understood
Israeli ,   Israel   (12.29.06)
why the arab "prisoners" always do the V sign? they never won anything.
2. NEVER WAS PEACE SINCE ISHMAEL
NEVER WILL BE PEACE ,   UNTIL MASHIACH   (12.29.06)
3. No release of terrorists
Ehud Olmert ,   Kuwait City   (12.29.06)
Just kidding.,
4. Palestinian officials express regret over lack of decision
Dani ,   Israel   (12.29.06)
We were discussing about; whether Gilad Shalit was able to light Chanukah candles? Or did he know if we were celebrating Chanukah here in Israel just a week before? Our Government was literally dying to release those hooligans so that those poor guys will be able to celebrate Eid al-Adha, and now Abbas is worried (without a bit of regret for Shalit) for his comrades that they may not be able to celebrate the feast! I really appreciate their leaders; they don't miss a slightest opportunity to disgrace Israel. And here are ours; not bothered for what public opinion is!!!
5. Public Opinion
Rick ,   USA   (12.29.06)
The Israeli electorate is made up of sheep awaiting slaughter. While the rockets rain down on you, you haven't a concern in the world. Big old Mr. olmert is making your country safe by offering wonderful concession after concession to the peace loving government of the Pallestinians. You cowards should be on the street demanding a no confidence vote and a new leader willing to protect your children. Instead, you just wait for your slaughter. I, an American Jew have given up on you. I guess it is true. You are tired of living and surviving. Baaa baaaa!
6. Criminal Ministers & Their 'Gestures'
Adina Kutnicki ,   US   (12.29.06)
'Gestures' to genocidal foes. How quaint and how delusional. All the while S'derot burns. This regime will face a Court of Jewish public opinion, sooner rather than later.
7. What about ...
Ginette Golden ,   Toronto, Canada   (12.30.06)
The rockets that keep on flying and landing in the Negev, Sderot, etc... I am no prime minister of Israel but lets face it, there should NOT be any release of Arab prisoners whatsoever until all the kidnapped soldiers return home and until all shelling stops entirely. I wish Olmert grows a spine or some balls or whatever that will make him see things the same way most Israelis and Jewish People abroad see things! And Dani (# 4), I am absolutely with you on this one :-)
8. Public Fact
USA ,   USA   (12.30.06)
I agree with #5. I'm an American Jew. I have family in Israel. I get bored of Jews in Israel telling me if I lived there I'd understand. You left wing people are blind like sheep. Once I thought about making Aliyah. But you would have it that the person who wants to kill my family lives 10min from my house. You want to make Israel 15miles wide and you think by doing this you will obtain peace. You are morons and you learn nothing from your mistakes. Left wing Jews have a memory that lasts about two weeks. After that, they forget everything about the past and go back to living in their dream world. Well you soon will be living there alone because the rest of the world has begun to detest you. Once you had the support of all the Jews. But now after you were given a gift, after waiting for 2000 years, you make it so no one can live in peace. Those who are merciful to the cruel will one day be cruel to the merciful. That day is today. Look at the facts, check your Aliyah rate? Oh I know your answer. We don't need you're kind here. Well you will soon have a majority of Arabs, and guess what, they wont need your kind there. Once you move to America, we shall feel the same way about you.
9. Why we can't have a no confidence vote
Israeli law ,   hampers PM change   (12.30.06)
By Israeli law, in order for a no confidence vote to pass, not only does it have to be supported by a majority of MKs, but they also have to have an AGREED UPON ALTERNATIVE OPTION FOR PM. For some reason, Israel's right and left did not see fit to unify against Olmert pursuant to his mishandling the war. At this point, the left will not unify with the right to combat Olmert's dangerously misguided policies such as prisoner release, since making life-threatening, one-sided concessions that have no realistic chance of actually granting Israel peace is actually the policy that leftists like best. Nonetheless, there are plenty of right wing parties that, in theory, could unify to oust Olmert. Where are they?
