If someone would say that it is illegal for a Jew to live in London, Paris, or New York, then the world would be in an uproar. All the more so in OUR land. Just because the Arabs ethnically cleansed ALL Jews from here from 1948-1967 doesn't make it "illegal" for Jews to live here. Their ethnic cleansing was illegal. We are righting a wrong.

Everyone, especially the police need to obey the law. I have quite a few laws in mind that I don't like but we can't pick and choose. Even here, I called the police when I was witness to one man (a city employee actually) beating up another man much smaller than himself. They said they wont come. They are not interested.

If this land is not Israeli land, what business of Peace Now, or the Israeli Government is it who builds on it ? It may have come under Israeli sovreignty as a result of the Six Day War, but Israel relinquished claims to this land when it agreed to the setting up of the PA. If, as Peace Now would have it, the land belongs to the Palestinians, let them worry about who builds what on it. It is no business of the Israeli authorities.

Peace Now may declare whatever they wish to be illegal, but it won't make one iota of difference. Guess why - sovereign power lies in the Knesset, not Peace Now. Until the Knesset makes the same statement it doesn't mean jack.

They receive funds from the foreign ministries of foreign governments, but have not registered themselves as a foreign agent. Most countries requires any NGO funded this way to make such a declaration. It wouldn't take much to change the law.

Ask the Palestinians if Yafo, Haifa, and Tiberias are occupied territories. The answer will most likely be "yes". So is Tel Aviv. So is Beersheva. Peace Now activists can try to talk their way out of it, but the truth is that the Palestinians consider all of Israel to be occupied territory. Most of us look at Israel and consider it to be land that after 2000 years was rightfully returned to its legal inheritors. Despite this, most of us are still willing to share the land with the descendants of those who occupied us. However, they don't seem to be as willing (case in point - the election of a Hamas government that rejects peace with Israel). We all would like peace now, but with whom? With the Palestinians who say Peace Now members in Ramat Aviv are occupiers?

Since 1967, there has been more Arab residential (largely illegal) construction in Jerusalem than Jewish construction in the capital of the Jewish State. But, Israel is enforcing the law in an iron-fist manner when it comes to a few scores of Jewish houses throughout Judea & Samaria and Hebron (built on a Jewish-registered property, which was ravaged by Arabs in 1929).
