1. Does the Pope and EU know about these types of stories
Alan ,   SA   (01.01.07)
2. fascist islam on the march
fish   (01.01.07)
typical of islam - to buid moscuq right next to churches, and then claim that the territory is sacred for islam, and then kick out christians, christians world over must rise up to this threat. isarel as a satet has to stop this phenomenon, and protect christians of nazareth. Sharon wasn't afraid to send two bulldozers and police squad, and it was over in a matter of 2 hours, though muslims promised that if you touch this sacred site, the whole middle east will be burning. muslims are very good at threatetning and inditimdating people who can't and don't want to protect themselves. But they submit to force and power, like the one displayed by Sharon.
3. Islamist-Jihadist World Domination
Brod ,   USA   (01.01.07)
This is not surprising. Former Arab Islamist-Jihadists such as Walid Shoebat and Dr. Mark A. Gabriel have written books on this subject. For more information, the following are MUST READ books: "Islam and Terrorism" [2002] by Mark A. Gabriel, PhD "Journey Into the Mind of an Islamic Terrorist" [2006] by Mark A. Gabriel, PhD "Why I Left Jihad" [2005] by Walid Shoebat "The Politically Incorrect Guide to ISLAM" [2005] by Robert Spencer "Religion of Peace? Islam's War Against The World" [2006] by Gregory M. Davis, PhD "Jihad Incorporated" [2006] by Steven Emerson "Hatred's Kingdom" [2003] by Dore Gold, PhD
4. But Jimmy Carter, Reuters & BBC blame it in the Jews
malcolm   (01.01.07)
It is Israel that rules the Christian Arabs with an iron fist...right BBC, Reuters, Jimmy Carter ???
5. I was at the parade.
Mansour ,   Nazareth   (01.01.07)
So much of this article is just utterly false, I'm a Christian living in Nazareth and yes there are small tensions, but nothing serious and certainly not as bad as this article is making it sound. The parade was clearly a parade of Eid and not trying to intimidate or frighten anyone, at least I didn't feel that way from my shop. The reported incident where "Mustlim teens charged at a Christian shopkeeper then held back at the last moment" almost made me laugh. It seems to me that this article is more inciting than the parade ever was.
6. Mansour,it is so wonderful for Christians that they go Canad
and USA ,   Alan-SA   (01.01.07)
7. the Talmud on Jesus
(01.01.07)
The Talmud’s authority takes precedence over the Old Testament in Judaism. Evidence of this may be found in the Talmud itself, Erubin 21b (Soncino edition): "My son, be more careful in the observance of the words of the Scribes than in the words of the Torah (Old Testament)." "The Talmud (Babylonian edition) records sins of 'Jesus the Nazarene': 1) He and his disciples practiced sorcery and black magic, led Jews astray into idolatry, and were sponsored by foreign, gentile powers for the purpose of subverting Jewish worship (Sanhedrin 43a). 2) He was sexually immoral, worshipped statues of stone (a brick is mentioned), was cut off from the Jewish people for his wickedness, and refused to repent (Sanhedrin 107b; Sotah 47a). 3) He learned witchcraft in Egypt and, to perform miracles, used procedures that involved cutting his flesh, which is also explicitly banned in the Bible (Shabbo Sanhedrin 43a. Says Jesus ("Yeshu" and in Soncino footnote #6, Yeshu "the Nazarene") was executed because he practiced sorcery: "It is taught that on the eve of Passover Jesus was hung, and forty days before this the proclamation was made: Jesus is to be stoned to death because he has practiced sorcery and has lured the people to idolatry...He was an enticer and of such thou shalt not pity or condone."
8. Anyone Think Transfer Is A Bad Idea?
Terry ,   Eilat - Israel   (01.01.07)
That's where we're headed. This is only the beginning of problems of this nature. And obviously not just for the Christian minority. This is not just a phenomenon confined to our country - it's a world-wide phenomenon, including Europe. Ignoring the problem will not make it go away. The spread of this virulent ideology has nothing to do with supposed grievances, all of which are just convenient pretexts.
9. TALMATIC TEACHINGS
Talmudist   (01.01.07)
The following is a summary of references to Jesus in the Talmud: Sanhedrin 67a: Jesus referred to as the son of Pandira, a soldier. Mother a prostitute. Kallah 1b. (18b): Illegitimate and conceived during menstruation. Mother a Prostitute. Sanhedrin 67a: Jesus was hanged on the eve of Passover. Toldath Jeschu: The Birth of Christ related in most shameful expressions. Abhodah Zarah II: Christ referred to as the son of Pandira, a Roman soldier, a Prostitute Mother. Schabbath XIV: Christ again referred to as the son of Padira the Roman soldier. Sanhedrin 43a: On the eve of Passover they hanged Jesus. Schabbath 104b: Called a fool and no one pays attention to fools. Toldoth Jeschu: Says Judas and Jesus engaged in a quarrel with human excrement. Sanhedrin 103a: Suggested corrupts his morals and dishonors self. Zohar III (282): Died like a beast and buried in animal's dung heap. Hilkoth Melakhim: Attempt to prove Christians err in worship of Jesus. Abhodah Zarah 21a: Reference to worship of Jesus in homes unwanted. Orach Chaiim 113: Avoid appearance of paying respect to Jesus. Iore Dea 150, 2: Do not appear to pay respect to Jesus by accident. Abhodah Zarah (6a): False teaching to worship on the first day of Sabbath.
10. are you telling that you are worried about Christians there?
Jesus killer ,   Nazareth   (01.01.07)
You were the one who killed their Jesus
11. World Net Daily is very biased in this coverage!
Palestinian   (01.01.07)
Be aware that this is not Ynet work, but Aaron Klein, WND! WND has a consistent tradition of bias and launches always a misinformation campaign against Muslims for no obvious reason. Anything about Islam for them is intimidating! Christians hold annual marching in Jerusalem. Does that intimidate Muslims when Christians repeatedly mention that Jesus is God! WND is biased and full of BS.
12. AND THE IDEA OF JEWISH WORLD DOMINATION IS EVIL????
(01.01.07)
13. alan#1pope and EU know such stories of WND are full of lies!
john ,   jerusalem   (01.01.07)
14. #7 Man's word-Talmud takes precedence over G-D's Word-BIBLE?
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (01.01.07)
Man's word is regarded as being above G-D's Word in the Jewish Bible - Tanach??? Jesus was NOT immoral! Jesus and disciples did NOT practice sorcery and black magic! Jesus did NOT worship statues of stone! In Matthew 22, Jesus was asked, "Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?" Jesus answered: You shall love the L-RD your G-D with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might. The Christian Bible records Jesus repeatedly exorted to obey the commandments of G-D!
15. Why all the fuss?
Ehud Olmert ,   Kuwait City   (01.01.07)
So they dominate the world? I already bought my little piece of heaven here in Kuwait. Why do you think I gave Abbas the hundred million? Rebuild the Gaza economy? As if!! He's my new neighbour!
16. nazareth

19. #9
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (01.01.07)
Jesus mother was NOT a prostitue!
20. Barvo on article
Jason ,   Jerusalem   (01.01.07)
Notice how most of the opposition to the article is coming from Muslims? The mainstream media has been repeating the false claim that Israel is to blame for the very public flight of Christians from places like Nazareth and Bethlehem. Just talk to the Christians there, they will tell you its the Muslims. This article is very much appreciated.
21. and regarding WND/Klein
Jason ,   Jerusalem   (01.01.07)
Klein is very fair in his media coverage and is taken very seriously in the U.S. media. He is probably one of the best Mideast reporters.
22. You won't read about this in the MSM
Mike Jefferson ,   Washington, D.C.   (01.01.07)
The MSM will continue to ignore, whitewash, and otherwise minimize the true nature of militant Islam. The irony in all of this is that these liberals will fair very poorly under Islamofascist rule - that's why their cheerleading of anything Muslim is so surprising.
23. how convinient
Hunter ,   USA   (01.01.07)
A Jewish reporter wrting about the antics of those mad Muslims threatening everyone around them, for no reason at all .....
24. Someone please tell the Archbishop of Canterbury
Herut Zion ,   UK   (01.01.07)
that Israel is not to blame for what the Arab Muslims do to their Arab Christian brethren in the Middle East.
25. Time for Israel to step in
Scooby ,   Ramat Gan   (01.01.07)
I think the time has come for someone in the Government to actually step in and give a hand here. The Christians should not feel threatened to live in Nazareth, by Muslims or anyone else. A dose of conflict resolution maybe? and a hard cold look at the facts and how they affect the rest of the Gallil and country
26. Next, march(dominate) through streets of Londonistan?
KMR ,   Middle East   (01.01.07)
27. Gods Word
anita ,   usa   (01.01.07)
NOTHING takes precedence over G-d's word! Certainly, not the words of man. What you quoted is totally blaspehmous, regarding Jesus who is G-d manifest in the flesh.
28. To Linda #17, read Quran 4:154 -4:157
Palestinian   (01.01.07)
4:154 raising Mount Sinai high above them in witness of their solemn pledge. And We said unto them, “Enter the gate humbly”; [16] [7] and We told them, "Do not break the Sabbath-law"; and We accepted from them a most solemn pledge. 4:155 And so, [We punished them [168] ] for the breaking of their pledge, and their refusal to acknowledge God's messages, and their slaying of prophets against all right, and their boast, "Our hearts are already full of knowledge"- nay, but God has sealed their hearts in result of their denial of the truth, and [now] they believe in but few things - ; [169] 4:156 and for their refusal to acknowledge the truth, and the awesome calumny which they utter against Mary, [170] 4:157 and their boast, "Behold, we have slain the Christ Jesus, son of Mary, [who claimed to be] an apostle of God!" However, they did not slay him, and neither did they crucify him, but it only seemed to them [as if it had been] so; [171] and, verily, those who hold conflicting views thereon are indeed confused, having no [real] knowledge thereof, and following mere conjecture. For, of a certainty, they did not slay him:
29.  #7- The Talmud was written long before Jesus was even born.
R. Alkalai ,   USA   (01.01.07)
by at least 100 years- There is also no "Old Testament" in Judaism. #7 has posted this bogus and inacurate material to cause Christian readers to become angry at the Jews. One lesson that Talmud would teach you is that people who do such evil acts as #7, practice the darkest of arts, and are evil in their very natures.
30. continuation
Palestinian   (01.01.07)
Note 171 (Quran Ref: 4:157 ) Thus, the Qur’an categorically denies the story of the crucifixion of Jesus. There exist, among Muslims, many fanciful legends telling us that at the last moment God substituted for Jesus a person closely resembling him (according to some accounts, that person was Judas), who was subsequently crucified in his place. However, none of these legends finds the slightest support in the Qur’an or in authentic Traditions, and the stories produced in this connection by the classical commentators must be summarily rejected. They represent no more than confused attempts at "harmonizing" the Qur’anic statement that Jesus was not crucified with the graphic description, in the Gospels, of his crucifixion. The story of the crucifixion as such has been succinctly explained in the Qur’anic phrase wa-lakin shubbiha lahum, which I render as "but it only appeared to them as if it had been so" - implying that in the course of time, long after the time of Jesus, a legend had somehow grown up (possibly under the then-powerful influence of Mithraistic beliefs) to the effect that he had died on the cross in order to atone for the "original sin" with which mankind is allegedly burdened; and this legend became so firmly established among the latter-day followers of Jesus that even his enemies, the Jews, began to believe it - albeit in a derogatory sense (for crucifixion was, in those times, a heinous form of death-penalty reserved for the lowest of criminals). This, to my mind, is the only satisfactory explanation of the phrase wa-lakin shubbiha lahum, the more so as the expression shubbiha li is idiomatically synonymous with khuyyila 1i, "[a thing] became a fancied image to me", i.e., "in my mind" - in other words, "[it] seemed to me" (see Qamus, art. khayala, as well as Lane II, 833, and IV, 1500).(Quran Ref: 4:157 )
