1. LOL hahaha
American ,   USA   (01.03.07)
Thats pretty funny. But whats in a name anyways? A rose is a rose by any name. OBAMA is a great guy, but , i am not sure he could win. I think the USA does harbor racists ideas in some ares- like the south -and though I WOULD LOVE him to WIN-and I believe the USA is in desperate need of a NEW and GREAT leader, I want to pit someone against the Republicans that ALL AMERICANS, could vote for. I think Obama should run as Vice president- and No, i dont think Hillary could win either- as once again, though the USA claims such 'modernity" I know there are too many backwards people that would not vote for Hillary on her being a female alone- look people, how Bush won. that is just down right scary. So.. the democrats strategy has to take into account the large amount of racists and sexist people we have in the USA still. and No, i dont say that proudly, just honestly. because as i say, Obama would probably make one of the greatest presidents that the US has had in a long time. and he does have my vote if he is the contender.

8. Obama
Sefardita ,   Sweden   (01.03.07)
There is no mistake there. This was coldly and deliberately planned.
9. His Middle Name is Osama
Semsem ,   New York, USA   (01.03.07)

11. Paranoia, New Meds Available
Terry ,   Eilat - Israel   (01.03.07)
Lighten up all you believers in conspiracy theories. This should be the only mistake journalists make. It's just a typo - it happens. Suggest you seek professional help; new medications may help you. Can you imagine the untouched market for a treatment for paranoia in the Arab world? It would be worth billions!

So, the South is prejudiced? What do you call that blanket statement? It doesn't sound very enlightened to me. How long have you lived in the South? The sentiments you express are much more akin to those of what Southerners call, "Yankee Rednecks." Unfortunately, we've been overrun with too many of those in the last 10 years. The racist, prejudiced, backwards people of Georgia did, however, have the good sense to elect a Republican governor; not because he was a Republican, but because he was and has proven to be the best man for the job. Speaking of "backwards people," your English doesn't, exactly, scream of higher learning. If you want to come across as being educated, at least, try to give the impression that you have the basic skills to back it up. People, by the way and usually, don't come in "amounts," but rather in groups or numbers, sexist, racist, or otherwise. -- George Bush, wether you like it or not, won the elections according to US law. End of that story. It is, nevertheless, refreshing to hear that the Democrats, finally, are trying to come up with a strategy other than, "Bush lied."-- I wouldn't vote for Hillary, because, in my book, she has no class and seems to be a power-hungry sap, who allowed her husband to humilitate her time and time again and in the worst ways possible. Also, as if trying to haul off with the White House silverware hadn't been bad enough, I can't get the picture of Hillary's kissing Suha Arafat out of my head. Add to that a few other, questionable incidents from her past, and maybe Hillary could run for the office of FM of the PA. As we Southerners would say, "she'd do 'em proud." Although I am a Republican, I can agree that Obama seems to be a very decent man. Unfortunately, that's not enough to run this country effectively.
14. Osama, Obama???
Ironcandle ,   Atlanta, GA   (01.03.07)
Osama bin Laden, Head Terrorist Barrack Hussein Obama, Democratic Candidate Sounds like the same thing to me.
15. Yikes and to #14 :-)
M. Hartley ,   Atlanta, US   (01.03.07)
We Southerners are showing our claws this morning, hehehe. If y'all don't watch it, we'll roll out another peanut farmer, just for our amusement.
16. To those who think it was deliberate
NYC Girl   (01.03.07)
You people are very obviously incapable of critical thinking. After all, what the hell would CNN have to gain by doing such a thing on purpose? Frankly, it's all a big deal over nothing and the only reason it happened is because of the similarity of the names and the fact that Barack Obama has been featured prominently in the news lately. It was nothing more than a slip of the tongue, so stop looking for all sorts of hidden meanings or you're going to run the risk of sounding a bit like borderline paranoid schizophrenics.
