A few days ago I read Jews beat an american Jew in Jarusalem who refused to change her seat moving to a section of bus for Woman. They beat woman and many Jews in this newspaper commented with their heavy censuring American Jewish woman as not sensitive to Jewish religion. It seems Iran has many thing in common with Israel especialy treating Woman.

Female-only bus lines is smilar to women-only colleges in US and Isreal. But, at least Iran never had one-race only road as in apartheid Isreal.

first of all, the photo that shows the women of Iran on top of the page reflects only a very small (%2) of women who dress up in "chador". Israel is trying to paint a certain picture of Iran. it`s called SELECTIVE REPORTING. i`m sure you have carzy unltra-conservatives in your own country but does that mean every Israeli is ultra-conservetive? second of all, there is demand for better service for women in Iran, so why being all hatefull and negative about it? Hey here the Haredi have segregation on certain bus lines,maybe the next step will be something similar to what is emerging in Iran, a female only line driven by a married woman, that way the men can avoid women all together, and perhaps no more beatings of women will happen again like it did a few months ago in a Jerusalem bus . Also the women atkeast would not be forced to sit in the back of the bus!

Western societies are based on Christina values, where unlike the Muslim and Jewish religions we treat women as equal. As a Christian I'm very proud of western values and see the rise of Islamic fundamentalism as an existential threat. Just for your info, when you refer to independence, if the christians of the middle east were to have their own country it would be the most prosperous, advanced and just in the world.

I have Muslim friends and do not hate Muslims. I do think that Islamic Fundamentalism is a form of Fascism. Even the majority of Iranian Muslims do not agree with it. Also, Israel is surrounded by Muslim countries, so I’m not sure what you mean when u say “My vicinity”. Things you mentioned are more widespread in Muslims countries than Israel.

Hi Rami I meant more or less what you said Palis should be grateful in general that judaism to some point is the "philosophy" they are dealing with, and not Islam You, as a Pali Christian, Which kind of ledership is more acceptable for you ? The fact that the woman filed a complaint and will (hopefully) win her case, also says a lot. Some buses are divided half for women half for men. Line number 2 doesnt fall in this category. So she has every right to sit where she pleases Even if some weirdos behave weird, women still file complaints as in any other normal country, something that you wouldnt be able to do in Iran or TURKEY btw

First of all I do not see myself as a Pali, I'm an Israeli-Arab and proud christian. If you live in Israel, you should know by now, most of Israeli Arabs and 100% of Israeli Christians see thier future in Israel and not Palestine. We never hide this fact, i don't know why you act like we do. Regadless of what u think about Israeli Arabs, we are a law abiding citizens loyal to the state and this is also according to the Shabak.
