31. RAVING FANATICS
Jewish Canadian ,   Toronto Canada   (01.07.07)
Let's see... An Israeli official performs a lawful act supported by the large majority of his countrymen,.The lives of perhaps dozens of young soldiers who would have died protecting isolated settlements have been saved, All in the hopes of peace. AND the settlers were given a fortune in compensation,Now hes to be persecuted by the lunatic right??The rabid frothing at the mouth lunacy of the right is beyond hysterical,They dont give a damn about gush Katif, They just fear that their hold on the country and the West bank is slipping. And they will sacrifice ANYONE and ANY LIFE to hold on to their sick fantasies of a "Greater Israel".Well U cant ignore the fact of 4 million Palestinians, or world opinion, OR Israeli opinion.Rant all you want. Wish and pray for the death of all Arabs-and all JEWS-who disagree with your sick and evil minds, Your day WILL come to an end.And not soon enough,

You are wrong, wrong, wrong, van Dalen! Read your Torah! Showing the other cheek is xtian, not punishing a traitor of the Jewish People for his crime against the nation. If there really is, but I doubt it, shame on the "majority" of Sde Eliyahu, on "kibbutz members [who]accepted us". Bassi says in his letter: "We would like to apologize ... for the large storm that we imposed on Sde Eliyahu with the decision to work in the service of the State." The storm, Bassi, was caused by you working for evil. We should investigate the mechanism by which this evil became our State. Is it "only" corruption or there is more to it?
33. "feel uncomfortable"-Lipshitz
Ben Temalion ,   Shiloh, MO USA   (01.07.07)
Ohh how terrible for the crocidile tears in your eyes. You are so full of it it is coming out of your lips. ergo your name. MAy all those who took part in the pogroms of the sick mind and unbound heart of areliem schienerman sharon and his poodle olmert never find comfort for any part of their lives as they endanger all of Israel by ceding land that protest you, crushing the skulls and trampling under hooves those who love the land that ;protects you. MAy be be more than uncomfortable.
34. #31 RAVID JEWISH CANADIAN
gabriela ben ari ,   jerusalem   (01.08.07)
Maariv polls july 2005 63% against desengagement 21% against rest undecided So I guess you are doing a good job living in CANADA NO ONE WANTS YOU HERE
35. And are we supposed to feel sorry for him?
Miriam ,   ISRAEL   (01.08.07)
36. This man's future
Tracy W   (01.08.07)
Many of us hope that criminals will pay. However, based on historical experience, these kind of people have the nasty habit of ending their lives very old, very rich, very safe, and at home. That's why they must be constantly scrutinized, watched, and have all their murky dealings exposed to the world. There must be no sympathy, no forgiveness, no rationalizing for their actions. The question remains, though: Why would any human being, any Jew, approve to this day of the abuses committed by his own government. It's not that "they didn't know".
37. "how can we move to another place?"
Aviva ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (01.08.07)
Ask the people you threw out of Gush Katif.
38. He is Shamed
Mark ,   Fresno, USA   (01.08.07)
G-d had his way once again...he told us not to interfere with his plan and Yonatan did what? Good riddens and thanks for contributing to the destruction of Israel.
39. Quid pro quo
Toby Klein Greenwald ,   Mother of Katifers   (01.08.07)
These are the words of Basi, more than any others, that should make any reader want to vomit: "We love this place, and we love those living in it. We were both born here. The sunrise above the Gilad mountains every morning has accompanied us since the dawn of our childhood. Our entire adult lives have been invested in Sde Eliyahu. And now, on the brink of old age, how can we move to another place?" they wrote. Hmmmmm.....How, indeed, does one cope with leaving the dawn of one's childhood and everything he has worked for, in his old age? Now he will finally know. G-d does, truly, have a sense of humor.
40. #17 D. Dalen.
Sara   (01.08.07)
'Al tadin et chavercha ud shetagiya limkomo.' I hope you understand this 'Hebrew' transliteration. (I feel you may be a convert. Nothing wrong with that, quite praiseworthy in fact. Just that we need to be very wary of 'nouveau' anything, and should not blindly or blandly accept their assessment of our situations) 1. As Medinat Yisrael will NEVER EVER mean ANYTHING to you, you are NEVER EVER likely to reach the terrible 'makom' these people reached. 2. You will NEVER EVER consider these people 'chavercha'. Therefore: YOU are in NO POSITION TO JUDGE OR EVEN TO COMMENT. So, your (predictable) comments judging by the society you have chosen to dwell in, do not apply.
41. Nothing turns Secular Sabra on more than expelling Jews
Beth Landau ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (01.08.07)
It's rather funny he refers to himself as a Sabra. Most Sabras I know do not display such excitement and joy at the thought of kicking Jews out of their homes. I assumed that joy was only reserved for cossacks and Islamists. It appears he has proven me wrong in that regard.
42. Reply # 41
Secular Sabra ,   Israel   (01.08.07)
Oh but we do Beth Landau , we do. You don't know us very well do you? Not a very Israeli name either is Beth ;) Started the night you and yours shot a 73 year old war hero in the back . You are not the only ones that believe in an eye for an eye Beth .
43. #17 Thank you!!!
Ofra   (01.08.07)
For expressing your views,I agree the full 100%!! There still are people in IL with common sense!! Different views are fine as long as they are discussed in a civil manner and not to turn against your fellow man.
44. Bassi
molly ,   fresh meadows, NY   (01.08.07)
Yonatan Bassi regrets choosing to leave his Kibbutz, the place that he was born and grew up and has spent his entire life----lucky for him that he can "choose" to leave or to stay. The poor evictees of Gush Katif had no such wonderful choice---His hand in abetting the terrible crime of the disengagement will haunt him for the rest of his days, especially if, wherever he goes, people will recognize him and deride him for his sins
45. #42, You're not the brightest crayon in the box, are you?
Beth Landau ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (01.08.07)
'The night you are yours shot an Israeli hero in the back' - Hmm, an unusual accusation considering I was a 14 year old school girl in South Africa the day Rabin was shot. And you are right, Beth is short for Elizabeth. I am named after my Lithuanian Great Grandmother who was forced out of her home as a young child due to endless pogroms in her country against the Jewish community. It just strikes me as odd you would find such joy in committing the same atrocities against Jews in this country as the Cossacks committed against my ancestors in Eastern Europe. Speaks volumes about you and your mindset.
46. Hey Beth good point! I'd ignore sabra, he's a total loser
