Dear NYC Girl, If your read again comments like Mr.Josh's and Mr.? Ms.? Mrs.? 's B , Mr.Zohar and Mrs.Jabroni's, encouraging censorship and discrimination it would be easier for you to understand why nowadays many Europeans do see Israel not as a Jewish Liberal democracy but a repressive religious Orthodox nation. To not mention that many Europeans, now "tired" of being constantly reminded of their past of willing executioners are very keen on equalizing roles , by demonizing their victim's descendants and they'll certainly appreciate above mentioned comments. Congratulations to the site and Mr.Burden for his article. It helps to show to the world what Israel is: a democracy.

Why is it that the first thing we associate with the freedom to be gay is to have the opportunity to be promiscuous and to discuss the 'gay scene' as if this was the sign that gay rights are progressing in a nation? I believe that in nations where gay hedonism is embraced is where gay people are even more ostracized. I would hate for Israel to turn into merely another liveral state where gay people care more for sex than for having things like gay marriage, or for gay jews trying to live a good life, living a traditional life, with the exception of having a man, instead of a woman, as a spouse. I would think gay hedonism is as un-Jewish as could be.

israelis are so not homophobic. I went to israel recently on my birthright and i got to meet many israelis. they all said the same thing to me, even an orthodox woman, told me that homosexuality in israel is genereally accepted. A lot of the modern orthodox jews even accept it cuz itz just so open in israel they are used to it, even with halacha opinion in modern orthodoxy. Politicians are not homophobic, they are actually very liberal, it's too bad though that there isnt a secular court to constitute marriage, the jewish court wont allow it. One day in the near future israel will progress further. :) No homophobia in Israel ( exept for the Sotmor ) I plan on making aliyah for this and to support Israel in anyway i can because we deserve to all have a peaceful place to live where we can all be free.
