Why is he such a poor judge of character? because he takes the supposed cause of freedom on face value without probing deeper into the people's motivations or criticizing their methods; because he simplifies and makes deductions without considering the complexities of the historic record; because, in making assumptions about the supposed justification of the palestinian cause, he allows his own moral lens to act as a mirror reflecting back toward his own soul rather than looking into the souls of others, which may or may not claim the same level of morality.
