1. Halutz Proved That CoF Must Come From Infantry Background
Yishai Kohen ,   YeShA, Israel   (01.17.07)
Halutz's only "success" was ethnically cleansing Jews. He will go down in infamy.
2. Breaking glass
ajs ,   ashdod israel   (01.17.07)
Maybe ths 1st and Last from IAF
3. To #1
EM ,   Ra'anana   (01.17.07)
Our country would be a safer and more moral place if we had more honorable people like decorated pilot/soldier Halutz' than another whining "ethnically cleansed Jew" like you. Get over it.
4. what goes around comes around
moti ,   rbs   (01.17.07)
God punished him and made him loose his job bec he did the same to the 10k people of gush katif. he was a legend in the air force...but from disengagment through lebanon he went straight down hill, which will be his memory
5. you forget his force on Jews and Haim Laskov
Ben Temalion ,   Shiloh, MO USA   (01.17.07)
Haim Laskov was the first Air Force commander to be chief of staff. Thx Edward. Lavi worked out well didn't it? And ohh on ethnic cleansing, like #1 halutz hates those who love the land that protects you.He supported the coup by an unelected party and its ruler who was and still has not been elected to bash skulls and trodden under hooves those who loave the land without regard to age, sex or condition. He emboldened the nemy by clearing the land, the ransom for the extortionists instead of enforcing their right of return to their homicidal hamite peninsular homeland of their own name. He hates the land that protects you and those of you that love it. HE thought nothing of the blood sewn to reclaim it and put more blood in harms way in another futile war in the Lebanon that had no surrender. You don't get surrender, you don't win the war and gain security.
6. #1 apologies from me, forgive me it is #3
Ben Temalion ,   Shiloh, MO USA   (01.17.07)
Who hates those who love the land that protects you and serves to defend the ransom of it to the extortionists from the homicidal hamite peninsular homeland of their own name. EM from Ra'anana is one who is imperiled by his fallacy of reason with those who come to kill you by brokering land for more war. '67 lines are meaningless, their covenant disavowed any soverignty of YeShA as it was in their hands already. After '67 they wanted to liberate it. Make them go away. Halutz wasn't up to it.
7. Remembered for destroying Gush Katif
Daniel   (01.17.07)
8. #6
EM ,   Ra'anana   (01.17.07)
It was people like Halutz who enabled Jews to live safely in Gaza in the first place. I salute him for taking on challenges, perseverence and finally accepting responsibility for a situation .. that he might not like or even agree with, but fufilled. It takes a special kind of person to see past his personal grievance - and move on.
9. The Last war wasnt necessary
Atilla Karagözoğlu ,   Istanbul   (01.17.07)
we (all of us) lost many people !!! we ddint give enough chance to peace. lets remember that. lets not forget that. MEN WHO HAS SOME POWER LOVES GIVE A FIGHT. selfish politicians or selfish army officers will always ask for war. WAR IS THEIR BLOOD. ONLY WAY TO SURVIVE. WE DONT NEED HEROS WHO CREATES THEIR OWN FIGHTS AND WHO MAKE THEIR FIGHTS AS WORLD FIGHTS. No we dont need. we want to see great leaders.
10. How can the withdrawal be considered a success?
Danny - Israeli one   (01.17.07)
With rockets falling on Sderot everyday? It is like saying the withdrawal from Lebanon was a roaring success.
