For whatever reasons, Iran actually wants Israel to nuke its reactor site. The only way that would make sense is if they wanted to use such an attack in the way that the Bay of Pigs was used in Cuba to justify Russian missiles being on its soil.

Iran wants Israel to attack because that will give them justification to wipe Israel off the map. That's why Ahmadinejad is denying the Holocaust and threatening to destroy Israel. He's trying to provoce an attack. Why? Well appearantly they have something which they want to use. My guess is they already got the bomb. The IAEA has said, many times, that Iran has not been transparent with their Nuclear activities. Just like we saw with Saddam Hussein and the UN inspectors.
