I can tell you that the political elite and the mullahs in Iran are increasingly losing any confidence in the way that Ahmedinejad has conducted himself. His rhetoric bordering on the outright dangerous almost inviting attack His absolutely uncompromising stance His claims of being a representative of Allah His new found so called friends ranging from terrorists, Holocaust deniers, Klu Klux Clan, dictators His outright threats made to Israel, US, Bahrein, S Arabia, Germany, France, Turkey and amazingly even Syria - the list grows by the day! I can tell you that there is a growing undercurrent to get Ahmadinejad to fall on his sword and go so that Iran can be left to start afresh to be welcomed back into the world community and not treated as the worlds pariah. Ahmadinejad has done by his sheer wreckless rhetoric has done so much to undermine Irans national interests that it must be time for others to take over.

The life of the people must be miserable, so they are gratefull for the slightest improvement. This is the base rule for almost every dictatorship. When you struggle non-stop for the most basic things you don't have time for anything else.

and rightly so. Which leader of a country in the right frame of mind would neglect is own ppl. and stir up trouble arounfd the world. THE EVENTS THAT WILL FOLLOW IN 10 SMALL STEPS 1)Israel strikes Iranian nuke sites. Although it could just as likely be the US. 2) Iran will respond by launching Shahabs at Israel and medium range missles at US targets in the Mideast. Their attempt to block the Persian Gulf is a non-starter due the the presence of two American Carrier Groups in the gulf. 4) Iran will also activate Hizzbullah and will most likely goad the the Syrians into making a move. 5) Infiltration accross the border into Iraq by Iranian funded insurgents will increase. 6) US responds with a 30-90 day aerial and naval campaign the sight and magnitude of which has never been seen. The campaign will oblitirate the Iranian navy and 90 % of the Iranian military that is worth hitting including all nuke facilities that Israel did not get in the initial strike. There will be no ground invasion. There will not be a need for a ground invasion. 7) The 'moozlem street' will do something original. They will go out into the streets and riot like savages. (Something that we have never seen before. wink - wink) 8) Sunni Arab Nations like the Saudis will express their regret but will privately laud the action. I guess it has something to do with the rightful succession of the prophet Mohamed or their interpretation of it. You know...it's that Sunni Shia thing!(I could care less however. LOL) 9) Meanwhile the Israeli Arrow anti missle system will take care of 98% of the Shahabs that Iran will launch and the new advanced Patriot system in the hands of the Americans (and Israelis) will take care of the rest. 10) Israel responds even more aggressively against both Hizzbullah and the Syrians. This time not holding back like they did last summer. THE RESULT: The Syrian Army is demolished. Damascus is in ruins. Lebanon is devasted. Meanwhile Israel suffers moderate but acceptable damage. Iran will be devastated from the air by the Americans. The Iranian civiliaztion is pounded into 'year zero' until they sue for peace on American terms. YOU LIKE?!? Have a nice day.

i wonder if Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has considered the possibility that ahmadinejad is trying to undermine the stability of the country . what better way to gain even more control and power than to create civil unrest and then "lead the way" for all the extremists. this guy is not even remotely stupid. i think he knows exactly what he is doing, how he is going to get it done, and who's bed to climb into to accomplish what he wants. are the Iranian people realy wamting to follow this guy ? i would really like to hear from the majority , not the extremist minority. i am aware that we are only told pieces of the whole truth to lean our opinions one way or the other. this is how peoples and countries get themselves into situations they otherwise would not rather be in. one should not follow ANYONE blindly , because you don't know where you are going . always keep one eye on the look-out people. before you know it , you will find yourselves trapped in a dead-end with no one to help you.

hey you ought to do a little rethinking. if china or russia wants your oil, and you think you can "blackmail" them think again. if they want it they will take it if you try to deny it to them. you are not much more than a bug to these powerful countries, and you are foolish to think you have any power over any of them.

There is no level of "acceptable" damage in Israel. If one Israeli dies in such a scenario, the whole country will be beating its collective chest. Everyday the price of oil drops Iran's economy gets worse. If it drops below $45 he will be in very big trouble. Do you think Ahmadinejad really cares about a few million Jews? I doubt it - Israel is not a threat to him. The only threat to him is the price of oil, and the Jews don't have any. You don't say what country you are in, but I doubt you are safe either.

1. Please do not say 'my best friend is Jew'. Ask you're friend, they will tell you why. 2. All countries are not equal. Some countries have terrible leaders (rememder Saddam, Hitler). Some countries are secular, some are not. Iran has earned the right NOT to have nukes. 3. Israel did NOT threaten Iran with nukes. 4. If I were living in an Arab/Sunni country I would be concerned about Iran as well.
