31. Bethlehem CHRISTIANS Fear NEIGHBORS
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (01.26.07)
The JERUSALEM POST Jan. 25, 2007 Bethlehem Christians fear neighbors By KHALED ABU TOAMEH BETHLEHEM A number of Christian families have finally decided to break their silence and talk openly about what they describe as Muslim persecution of the Christian minority in this city. The move comes as a result of increased attacks on Christians by Muslims over the past few months. The families said they wrote letters to Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, the Vatican, Church leaders and European governments complaining about the attacks, but their appeals have fallen on deaf ears. According to the families, many Christians have long been afraid to complain in public about the campaign of "intimidation" for fear of retaliation by their Muslim neighbors and being branded "collaborators" with Israel... "The situation is very dangerous," said Samir Qumsiyeh, owner of the Beit Sahur-based private Al-Mahd (Nativity) TV station. "I believe that 15 years from now there will be no Christians left in Bethlehem... Qumsiyeh, one of the few Christians willing to speak about the harsh conditions of their community, has been the subject of numerous death threats. His house was recently attacked with fire-bombs, but no one was hurt. Qumsiyeh said he has documented more than 160 incidents of attacks on Christians in the area in recent years. He said a monk was recently roughed up for trying to prevent a group of Muslim men from seizing lands owned by Christians in Beit Sahur. Thieves have targeted the homes of many Christian families and a "land mafia" has succeeded in laying its hands on vast areas of land belonging to Christians, he added. Fuad and Georgette Lama woke up one morning last September to discover that Muslims from a nearby village had fenced off their family's six-dunam plot in the Karkafa suburb south of Bethlehem. "A lawyer and an official with the Palestinian Authority just came and took our land," said 69-year-old Georgette Lama. The couple was later approached by senior PA security officers who offered to help them kick out the intruders from the land. "We paid them $1,000 so they could help us regain our land," she said, almost in tears. "Instead of giving us back our land, they simply decided to keep it for themselves. They even destroyed all the olive trees and divided the land into small plots, apparently so that they could offer each for sale." When her 72-year-old husband, Fuad, went to the land to ask the intruders to leave, he was severely beaten and threatened with guns. "My husband is after heart surgery and they still beat him," Georgette Lama said. "These people have no heart. We're afraid to go to our land because they will shoot at us. Ever since the beating, my husband is in a state of trauma and has difficulties talking."... www.jpost.com

Seems to me there is a ethnic/religion/cultural division between groups causing much strife in every democratic country, political correctness is exploited, courts are tied up with useless human rights cases "ie. I can't hang up my satellite dish cause i'm muslim, happening in the Canadian maritimes right now. While violent criminals are released until their pushed back court date. Multi culturalism is not working, causing the only one bending for the idea are the traditional settlers of that nation. I know Canadians are tired of the Christmas tree fiasco every year, and these events build tension. Assimilation into culture is the best and only way, aside from staying put. So if Lieberman wants to make Israel more Jewish focused, I say good for him, if muslims want to have a more enforced Islamic law dictating their life, than the US and Canada is not for them, try Iran or Saudi Arabia.
33. Land for Peace Israeli-style
M. Hartley ,   Atlanta, US   (01.26.07)
Other than my mom, who was always on the money, when she predicted that I'd get my butt whipped, if I didn't stop whatever, I've never known or met a prophet. I'm not too up on chapters and verses, either. I can, however, picture some really pissed off, modern-day Ezekiel - ok, so he looks a lot like Charlton Heston-booming from Mt. Sinai, Hebron or even from that mosque in Jerusalem that God will be major upset, if you don't believe and start to act in accordance with what was promised to your enemies, namely that "you will die on the mountains of Israel with your troops and the armies that are with you. I will let you become food for every bird of prey and for every wild animal." I suspect that you're supposed to have a hand in all of that and help it along just a bit. Israel is, after all, not the Bermuda Triangle. And forget about that loin girding. It sounds too much like the Chippendales. Just keep the F16's revved up, the nukes dusted off, and teach those neighbors your meaning of "land for peace," if they don't lay off. Sooner or later, you'll end up having to do it, anyway.

35. Lieberman, your candor is blunt but honest
Cameron   (01.26.07)
It's always rare, but totally refreshing to hear a politician speak with true honesty. 'Land for Peace' is a concept that has been applied & proven to be as creditable as Marxism. Reading the Liberals grunt & snivel their disapproval of your remarks merely confirms your correct view of the subject.
36. Anyone who thinks Arabs give a rat's *** about Palestinians
Me ,   here   (01.26.07)
read this: http://www.un.org/apps/news/story.asp?NewsID=21348&Cr=palestin&Cr1= Syria clearly doesn't like them. Iraqis HATE them. Kuwaitis, of course, despise them. The Lebanese are afraid of them. So OF COURSE the Syrians and other Arabs are happy to have the Palestinians killing themselves by attacking the Israelis. They clearly don't like having the Palestinians as neighbors.

from all over the world. It would be a good reality check for you. How do you think borders have changed since humanity began. Peacefully? How many years do we go back. Land won in any war by any country in the world has been considered part of their so called country. Do you want us to go back to prehistoric times with no man. Your logic is terribly flawed. And land won in a war is that countries land. I could write for quite some time here, adjusting so called borders throughout the entire world. Too bad so many concentrate and pick on Israel. Wonder why they do that?
38. Well Duhhhhh!!!!
jp ,   usa   (01.26.07)
It amazes me that politicians never listen to people who know what they are talking about. A snake wil let you carry it down the mountain and promise not to bite you. Yet when you get it down the mountain, it bites you and you die. Why? Because it's a snake and that's it's nature. Why did the leaders of Israel and the U.S. think that land for peace would ever work? Common sense tells you that as soon as you give into your enemy and give him your land, he's gonna figure out that the fight was worth it and wil continue to fight you again until he has taken all of you land from you. Why? Because terrorists, are terrorists. It's their nature. Every time there are negotiations going on, they are letting you take them down the mountain. And just like the snake THEY'LL BITE YOU. And now, way to many people in the land are homeless, without jobs, and still have kasams lobbed at them. If the leaders only would have asked Hashem about giving the land away for peace, all of this could have been avoided. Now stand your ground, stand up the the U.S. State Dept., and tell them to mind their own business and keep their nose out of your affairs. Hashem was with the troops in biblical times, and he'll be with your troops today if you'll let him. Never give up the fight!!!!!!!!!!
39. start hawks, end as pigeons; Israeli leaders rising to power

Bigen ended with peace treaty, Sharon ended with disengagement. Lieberman's prelude to power is to give up the "land for peace"-disguised "transfere".

43. #34 Islamics in Hebron BOOBY TRAP TEDDY BEAR forJEWISH Child
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (01.27.07)
The values and ethics of PA society are the complete opposite of the values and ethics of Western civilization. PA Muslims pass out candy and celebrate in the streets by the thousands when Jewish innocents are murdered by Muslim human bomb killers. The Palestinian Authority hailed as heroes the terrorists who brutally murdered defenseless 8 months pregnant Jewish Gaza mother, Tali Hatuel, and four little daughters in Gush Katif in May 2004. And in the Jewish holy city of Hebron: From: The Jerusalem Post, Nov 16, 2005 'The case for Mitzpe Shalhevet' by David Wilder "...The market was finally shut down following an attempted terrorist attack: Arabs placed a booby-trapped teddy bear in a plastic bag in the market near the entrance to the Jewish neighborhood, hoping a Jewish child, finding it, would play with it and be killed in the ensuing explosion... On March 26, 2001, at the beginning of the Oslo War an Arab sniper shot and killed 10-month-old Shalhevet Pass... www.jpost.com G-D's requirement for all humanity is KINDNESS: Bible, Micah 6:8 And what does the L-RD require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your G-D.
44. #34 Hebron's Jews Suffer ATTACKS yet are UNJUSTLY Demonized
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (01.27.07)
Why the orchestrated fuss? David Wilder, THE JERUSALEM POST January 17, 2007 ...The fact that an Arab woman spat in Alkobi's face was also not too widely noted... WHY DID Yifat Alkobi yell at her Arab neighbor and call her a sharmuta? That's not her usual choice of words. Perhaps it was because Yifat's home was shot at - for two years - by Arab snipers. Perhaps it was because a terrorist's bullet barely missed her daughter's head by centimeters.... In understanding what goes on in Hebron, context is important. How many people know that Jewish children walking home from school are periodically attacked by local Arab youths on the road... www.jpost.com
45. #34 NAZARETH Muslims Global JIHAD 'Islam Will DOMINATE WORLD
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (01.27.07)
Arab Israeli Muslims are united with jihadist Palestinian Authority society, PA/PLO/Hamas/Hezbollah/Al Qaeda, Syria, Iran, et al in the world war against humanity to bring all nations under Islamic subjugation - a merciless world where freedom and human rights are utterly destroyed. Council on American-Islamic Relations: "Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faiths, but to become dominant. The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth." - Omar Ahmad (CAIR co-founder). www.WorldNetDaily.com Muslims shout at Jesus' home: 'Islam will dominate the world' March through town of Nazareth 'meant to intimidate Christians' January 1, 2007 By Aaron Klein WorldNetDaily.com NAZARETH – Islamic groups held a large militant march down the main streets of Nazareth this weekend, highlighting for some here the plight of Christians in this ancient city where Muslims have become a majority and members of the dwindling Christian population say they suffer regular intimidation. Nazareth...described in the New Testament as the childhood home of Jesus... The Islamic Movement, the main Muslim political party in Nazareth, said it organized yesterday's march to celebrate Eid ul-Adha, or the Feast of the Sacrifice, which commemorates the Muslim belief Abraham was willing to sacrifice his son Ishmael for Allah. Christian and Jewish faith dictates it was Isaac, not Ishmael, whom Abraham almost sacrificed. ... Young Muslim men in battle gear marched and beat drums as a man on loudspeaker repeatedly exclaimed in Arabic, "Allah is great." Hundreds of activists strutted screaming Islamist epithets, including "Islam is the only truth" and "Islam shall rule all."... "The march is meant to intimidate Christians," said Saleem, a Nazareth Christian resident who asked that his last name be withheld for fear of what he said was "Muslim retaliation" for speaking out. "It's part of the methods used by the Muslims in very obvious ways to create an atmosphere where the Christians should know the Muslims are the main power and we are not welcome anymore," Saleem said... Like Bethlehem's Christians, those in Nazareth spoke of attacks against Christian-owned shops and told stories of Christian women being raped by Muslim men. They noted several instances of interreligious violence and Muslim riots they said began when Muslims attacked Christian worshippers. The Muslims claimed Christians started the violence. Israeli security officials say the majority of anti-Christian violence in Nazareth goes unreported because local Christians are too afraid to report crimes. One Christian resident said violence and intimidation tend to increase around the time of local elections. The Islamic parties, once in the minority, are now one seat away from dominating Nazareth's city council. "During the last elections, Muslims on the streets were openly threatening the Christians. They tried to stop some of the Christian cars from voting," said Saleem. In October 2000, the Arab Christian mayor of Nazareth, Ramiz Jaraisy, was reportedly beaten by members of the opposing Islamist party. Nazareth's Christian population, at times the majority during the city's long history, is now at about 37 percent, according to the Israeli Bureau of Statistics, which notes a regular downward trend... Yesterday's afternoon service, attended by WND, was preceded by a sermon delivered by a prominent local sheik, who shouted into a loudspeaker, "Islam will dominate the world."... ...El-Fahum said it was only a matter of time before another round of anti-Christian riots were sparked... http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=53574 STOP Inciting Children to Kill ! http://www.teachkidspeace.com/flash.php http://littlegreenfootballs.com/weblog/pictures/PalestinianChildAbuse

The US didn't like Jews? Seems like somebody has taken more then his or her fair dose of anti-americanism. America has never been hostile to the Jews, and nor has it been hostile towards Israel (although Eisenhower was critical of Israel), and European countries today have mixed feelings towards Israel and at the time you mentioned supported Israel whole heartedly. So enough with half truths. When you can come up with a single American Pogrom then you may claim America is anti-semitic, not before.

Libermans may not be mainstream or politcly correct but in general he has got it right. The Olmert regime is on the verge of giving the Golan to Syria in exchange for a park which israelis will be permited to visit. Jerusalem once a red line never to be crossed the left and centre have all talked about dividng the city. Its only a matter of time before the refugee return red line is crossed with the post oslo governments trying to become more and more politicly correct all the time. Barak left Lebanon and instead of peace we got a full scale war. Gaza was a problem before the withdrawl but since then its become a disaster Peretz is desperate to exchange the disasterous roadmap for what will be an even more disasterous for Israel Saudi plan. Give the palestians a state today based on the 1967 border tommorow they will be back for more if they dont get their way then they will start another war of terror preasure the Israeli left and the west to say give the palestians what they want and we can have peace. Two states will be like putting a bandage on a wound its not fixing it the only way to fix this injury is to make Jordan the palestians state as it was originaly intended to be. Land for peace is like Chamberlin promising Hitler Sudatenland for peace .. he gave the land and accepted Hitlers promises but later on Hitler didnt give that peace. Isnt it time to learn from the mistakes made from men like Chamberlin and not make them again land for peace doesnt work.
