92. World War Three
ann ,   Hbg, Pa   (01.29.07)
The West better wake up and hit them first.
93. Can't decide?
Matt ,   Grand Rapids   (01.29.07)
For those of you who do not believe this article or who can't decide it is respectfully time to wake up. What more is it going to take? How many more bombs? How much more hate speach against the West, Israel, Christians, Jews? Do you not believe when they say the West is Satan and should be destroyed? Do you think they have nothing better to do with their time? Wake up, we are at war!
94. WWIII
bob ,   london, canada   (01.29.07)
At last a Jew with a brain! When will all the peaceniks figure this out? Terrorist are streaming into America as we speak, across the Mexican Border. A fence, it must be built! Tom Tancredo must be prez! WWW.TOMTANCREDOFORPRESIDENT.BLOGSPOT.COM
95. Non-proliferation Treaty
Jerry ,   Canada   (01.29.07)
Why is Israel not a signatory of this treaty???
96. Iran with nukes? Good.
RickD ,   Ottawa Canada   (01.29.07)
Why is this good? Let me explain: You know, I was really worried that at one point, North Korea would march on the south. But now that they have nukes, it completely disarms them. Once a bad guy has nukes, they cannot go to war or they will be vapourised before they get the chance to use it. An armed Iran, would be hog-tied to fighting other arabs. Or else BOOM. Mind you, you probably can't invade them anymore either.
97. words of the past true today
winston ,   somewhere uk   (01.29.07)
If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without bloodshed; if you will not fight when your victory will be sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may be even a worse fate. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish then to live as slaves." --Winston Churchill
98. terrorist nukes
Gary ,   USA   (01.29.07)
If terrorists explode a nuke in North America fallout will still be a concern, fallout from our nukes.

Gary ,   USA   (01.29.07)
I agree about the nuke scenario when it comes to terrorists but not the part about the Russians interveining. They won't give up Moscow for Iran.
100. #51, I can't take it anymore!!!
RickD ,   Ottawa, Canada   (01.29.07)
Why don't you keep your god damned religion out of this. ALL religion should be universally outlawed. Mel Gibson was only partly right. JEWS, MUSLIMS, and CHRISTIANS (yes you had you time too) are responsible for the vast majority of all wars. Sure, there are still the odd power nut (KIM,Putin,Bush) who just love a good scrap, but lets take one variable out first. Then we can start imprisoning rulers who DARE to life a finger against a neighbor. As for your returning Jesus, don't count on it in any lifetime you pea brain.
101. Oh the world does understand Bill
JP ,   Los Angeles USA   (01.29.07)
Sometime the aggressor is in the right...If the Arabs disarm tomorrow we have peace. If the Israelis disarm tomorrow...another 6 million dead. Being strong doesn't make a country wrong. Wait till a Muslim blows up a church or synagogue in Auckland...
102. # 89--Bill
Brad ,   LA USA   (01.29.07)
Was the US the aggressor in WW2? Germany didn't directly attack US. The US has attempted to broker peace talks/deals between Israel/Pals for the past 40 years, but funny how the deal was offered by Jews, but NEVER was good enough for the Pals. They can't even recognize the state of Israel. As far as Afghanistan is concerned, the US came to the aid of the Mujuhaddin to assist their struggle against the Soviets. So to show their thanks they offered sanctuary to Al-Queda and attacked New York. It must be nice to sit down in NZ and ignore history. Bill--If the US falls to Islamic terrorism, what will become of the democracy called NZ? What will become of all other free people? This struggle is not about Iraq, or the US, or Israel. If it were, there would be no Islamic wars in Somalia, Indonesia, Philipines, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Syria/Lebanon, India/Pakistan. Just look at the murder of Van Gogh in Denmark. Islamic radicals have even terrorized the moderate muslims, who are cowering in fear at the brutality of the fringe radicals.

107. #100 & 104 You fulfill Biblical Prophecy
Mike ,   Mount Vernon, WA USA   (01.29.07)
I just love it when you fulfill prophecy recorded in the Bible 2 Peter 3:3-4. First of all you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come scoffing and folloiwing their own evil desires. They will say, "Where is this 'coming' He promised? Ever since our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation." Believe in Jesus before is is too late. Mike

I want someone to define the contenders in this war! Oh, that's the dificult part. In my view, if one cannot detach himself from his own thread of his cultural history, truth fails as a prospect. Call it, liberal study. Furthermore, as one annihilates time, modernity, reality, he removes himself further from the same, and even detracts the movitves to love and conservative acts. The war may not be considered to be between certain parties as it is between the prolongations of time and the derailment of it. With time, there will be new ideologies; these never fail to appear, whether they distort or revolutionize older paradigms. One may also consider their developments to be circularly evolving. Even if so, around what? Probably certain inscrutable rights or laws that any individual is capable of perceiving but, heedless to say, most are ruled by them. How blessed is he who rather shares in them. Some say heaven some hell, but given one denotes the other, so wouldn't any individual prefer heaven, remembering in fact that it's only beleived to be heaven. Nonetheless, we have two heavens! Is it no wonder then that the archangel battled in heaven? Perhaps any beast is our own appetite. The West, I think, not so much as embraces Islam as it's stomach turns over seeing more war. In any case, man does not heal himself by becoming stupid or belimic. Halevy's prediction of a nuclear attack is not based on the growing insurgency or the successes of the petitions of prayers for Islamic prosperity. It is because of the unconsciousness of a current war, which would demand not the intelligence of an officer, but the intelligence of an artist. Partly, his prediction is founded on his outlook by peering west not (middle)east. His optimism of a conclusive victor is a prediction cloudy but still strong. In effect, some Islamists feel that "what is at stake is not just the destiny of the Muslim world but indeed the whole of mankind." And to this end, "it is important...[to move] collectively in the Muslim world to demand this change from such influential people in our lands, even if it means spilling onto the streets to create a revolution or staging a military coup" (Ashraf Doureihi). Something more particular is startling beyond all this. It is a contradiction: where some Muslims may be hoping to expand their numbers geographically, why are others denying Israel of its. It appears then that all what really matters must be local. Leisure, on the other hand, is a platitude of only colored borders. High society may equal high unconsciousness, where there are usually a handful to point this out. It's just sometimes that I fear not so much as the duty/or a sorrow for preemtiveness, like I may see on animal planet where an animal's prey is pictured in the mouth. But that growing beast, which isn't a beast but only is likened to a beast, but not the real beast in general.
109. I Can't Wait For Satan to Come
Eric Vaughan ,   Toronto, Canada   (01.29.07)
Hear me out on this one. If satan assumes the shape of a man and comes as the messiah in the rebuilt Temple in Jerusalem, all we have to do is take his mark on our wrists or forehead, confess his liberation theogy as the word of God and accept him as the messiah and all these religious fanatics will meet a medieval end. Wow, whadda bargain!

"If the US falls to Islamic terrorism" If you believe this to be even a remote possibility I'd like to talk to you about some oceanfront property in Arizona I got for sale. It sounds to me that you might be one of the sad people who have allowed this kind of irrational fear to enable the Bush administration to introduce fascism to the U.S. Let me introduce you to a few facts about terrorism. According to the U.S. Department of State’s annual report, Patterns of Global Terrorism, there are 76 organizations listed as either “Designated Foreign Terrorist Organizations” or “Other Terrorist Groups.” Of the total, only 36, less than half, are Islamic in orientation and membership. 29 of them--or 80%--are country-specific, which have nothing to do with the US. If a group is struggling to establish Islamic State in Algeria, what has it to do with terrorist attacks on the US? At least six of the organizations in this category are merely focused on the liberation of Kashmir, and another three are working for independence of Chechnya. Five of the organizations are trying to coerce the Israeli government into ending it occupation, ethnic cleansing, state terrorism and apartheid policies. Seems to me that if Israel stopped being naughty, you might be able to give your paranoia a rest. Ever been outside of the United States Brad? Outside of your front door?

"The thesis that the danger of genocide was hanging over us in June 1967 and that Israel was fighting for its physical existence is only bluff, which was born and developed after the war." Israeli General Matityahu Peled, Ha'aretz, 19 March 1972.
113. Hey Everybody Eric #109 can't wait for satan
Mike ,   Mount Vernon, WA USA   (01.29.07)
Whadda Shame! You have that much understanding of the Bible yet fail to grasp the reality of what you have just said. It won't be a picnic here after Christ returns for the church. With Satan in control it will be the worst 7 years of all human history. If Jesus didn't return at the end of the 7 years then no life would survive. That is what the Bible says. Satan will cause more war and destruction during those years than every war combined. Better than half the world's population will be killed. God will be showing the world the difference between The True Messiah and the 'false messiah' by the results mankind will see, and how screwed up this world gets under the control of satan. Eric, when the rapture takes place, you will know that it happened. All us "religious Fanatics" will be gone. Are you still going to take the mark? You have this Bible knowledge you should know better. I implore you not to take the mark. You will seal your fate forever.

You said, "[Israel doesn't] use terrorism... to make the world submit to their religious views" A primary principle of Judaism is that these people alone are chosen by God (i.e., others are not). So you must recognize that because of idealogical reasons, Israelis would have no rationale to "convert" Muslims to Judaism. By neglecting to recognize that the Son, the Messiah, the Lamb, has arrived on the planet to create a new Kingdom... despite their own personal doubts and objections (and those of their ancestors), the Kingdom did yet arrive -- though this was promoted through the body of the "church" this did not occur through man, but through the Holy Spirit. For this reason, Israel did not intentionally drop millions of cluster-bombs on Lebanese children, causing much terror in those communities; but the result was not of God. Unfortunately, the children represented a significant amount of collateral damage. You know that if one Israeli child was known to be in the area, just one, the attack would be called off. Why is that justified; simply don't target that one child eh? Perhaps that would be too risky; and I think we both agree on that point.

As a matter of fact, the Muslims were persecuted first by the Meccans. Why? Just because they didn't like what Mohammed had to say. Sort of like the jews and Jesus, huh? Mohammed actually left his home just to avoid armed conflict. But as with anything else, there comes a point where peace just isn't the answer; you can only respond with force when you're cornered. The fact that Mohammed tried to avoid conflict initially and migrated to Medina testifies to his non-violent approach.. until the Meccans became a "clear and present danger", if you will. With regards to Mohammed slaughtering/murdering people just because they didn't accept him as a prophet.. where exactly do you get that idea from in the first place? Thirdly: a conquered country has three rights: a) accept Islam b) to pay tax for protection (this is in a time when noone actually paid taxes) or c) Be killed. I think that's a fair bargain. If they didn't like it, they always had the option of leaving. Read up on facts before you start trying to sound smart. You come across as a pseudo-intellectual.
117. Let's not forget
Eric ,   Toronto, Canada   (01.29.07)
Right after Mohammed's migration, treaties were signed with various jewish tribes. Most of the treaties were violated, not by the muslims, but by the jews. Again, a historical fact.. feel free to look it up.
118. Ah one more thing
Eric ,   Toronto, Canada   (01.29.07)
"B. The Bible doesn't say Blacks are less human. In fact, Moses had a black wife. Meanwhile, Muslims still enslave people as they had prior to America's role in the slave trade" This is from the last sermon of Mohammed. "All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over black nor a black has any superiority over white except by piety and good action." That is what Muslims are told. Now, whether they follow it or not is a seperate matter; I have yet to see where Muslims "continue to enslave people" though.
119. Re: 64
Eric ,   Toronto, Canada   (01.29.07)
Israel itself may not be a terrorist nation. It certainly uses its influence rather well though; look at the tv. There ALREADY are "heaps of dead Arabs" (Iraq, Palestine.. Lebanon?) Oh and mind you. The Arabs have enough cash to pay for just about anything. So what would stop them from using some of that dough and asking, say, Pakistan, to sell some nuke tech?
