He just keeps putting his foot in his mouth over and over, what a fool
32. 29 - Have you been to a US college campus recently?
NL ,   Israel   (01.28.07)
Universities from Harvard in the east to Stanford in the West have led the new vogue of bringing in Muslim speakers to espouse anti-Israeli rhetoric. For excellent documentation of this phenomenon, go to www.campuswatch.com In one recent example, the Stanford Hillel (Jewish organization) itself brought a Muslim speaker to speak, in order to show both sides of the dialogue. At Pace University, the Hillel house wanted to screen the film Obsession, but in order to present both sides of the argument, invited the Muslim group to participate and bring speakers to present their side of the story (note the attempt at a two-sided dialogue) but the Muslim group refused and, instead, opted to try and get the screening banned. No reciprocation from the Muslim community has been seen on the issue. For example, at one school in Seattle, a panel on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict was held on YOM KIPPUR - in other words, making it difficult for Jews to attend and present their side of the story. There have also been numerous citations of an anti-Israeli double standard on college campuses by the administration, towards the Jewish and Muslim groups. In general, anti-Muslim incidents are labeled hate crimes, while anti-Jewish acts, particularly if undertaken by Muslim student groups, are referred to only as bias incidents. Pro-Israeli bias in the US? Who are you kidding?!

whatever happened to freedom of speech? Or does that only exist in Denmark? Wow, I thought the US was the land of all freedom. Unfortunately, all people are equal but some people are more equal than others.
34. Response to 29
Joe   (01.28.07)
You can keep claiming your conspiracy theories all you like but try proving it. The Arab perspective certainly isn't being denied by mainstream publishers (a brief look at the Middle Eastern section of any bookstore will show this), the editorial boards of the major newspapers and magazines, on college campuses, on the Internet, etc. The perspective that is actually censored is the one that dares to ask why Gaza, for instance, which was Egyptian land as late as early June 1967 became ancient Filistia when Egypt lost the war. And that's just one example.
35. Response to 33
(01.28.07)
Nobody's denied Carter his right to free speech, unlike people like Robert Rediker of France, Flemming Rose of Denmark, or any other criticsof Islam who have to live in hiding for daring to speak out.
36. Carter wanted controversy
JRS ,   USA   (01.28.07)
That was the whole point to the book. It was predictable that pro Zionists would discredit and ridicule his book. If he had just named it "Peace in Our Time" or some other ambiguous title, you wouldn't see pro Israeli pundits flailing about trying to discredit it, and the issue would have died on the bookshelf in a matter of weeks. Now we see daily articles in Ynet, months after the fact. The controversy created was the whole point, as it has caused the US to address the issue, once considered taboo.

41. Jimmy Carter the antisemiteto #5
Hilda ,   USA   (01.28.07)
my dear friend, by writing his horrible book of lies and hsalf truths, Mr Carter himself has forced us to remember just what a dreadful president he was and now we realize that he is also a horrible man and an antisemite. Noone asked him to write this pro Palestinian piece of trash and we would have let sleeping dogs lie. Some of do remember how he loved Arafat and how unfair and inhospitable he treated Begin at Camp David. We did not need his book to remember. How could we forget? He will go down in American history as our very worst president.

actually, your assumption is very erroneous. carter, a nothing president, an awful diplomat and a most ineffective and inane politician who left no legacy to even mention in the usa history and has accomplished nothing relevant in his time in office......decided to write a book, hoping against all hope, that it'll sell and be a national best seller. so, he found an inflamatory politically challenging topic, not so much as to raise the national interest in the pali/israeli conflict and its roots and causes, but to sell a book and support the arab money who supported him. it's all about money. and that money is arab money! the book was a favor for trhe millions of arab cash his institute received through the years. it was a gift to those same arabs who hold similar views as he does. this book raises the american concience about as much as doo doo does. as a matter of fact it is full of historical innacuracies (probably gotten from the arab literature and revisionist historians of this decade), and is innacurate to a fault. many intellectuals on and off campuses, those jewish and those who are not, disputeed many of the passages in carter's book as not being found on sound footnotes, historical events, political accuracies and as an opinion rather than historically true. carter has a lot to answer for for his conduct and the history of who is funding and supporting him. when he walks by, he doesn't smell of peanut butter, but of dark crude oil. arab oil. he's laced with it and so is his book. to call him an antisemite is too obvious. to call him a hypocrite is more so. but to call him a cheat, an arab apologist and a fabricator of history is the most appropriate in his case. let's not ever confuse carter with historical accuracy. let's not confuse him with political and presidential success. he was as incompetent a president as he is an incompetent liar and writer. period! any historian and politician worth his salt cognizant of the real truths concerning "palestine", "palestinians" and israel would laugh and joke about this book. its accuracy and logic and supposed "truth" is merely an opinion of this ex president, but not the real history of trhe above issue.

jimmy carter decided to end his life finally telling and making the world aware of who he really is and how he really feels about jews and israel. you are right. he decided to let go of his sins! the sins of jew hate and the sin of the worst mess of a president that he was. i can't blame the fool. he had to get it off his concience....like we didn't know it already. but in doing so, he writes a half truth book, as a gift to all thise arabs who continually fund his life style and projects. this book was his thank you to these same arabs. in the past, the world and the american people forgave his stupidity and ineffectiveness. but now, we must again forgive his verbal diareah and poor excuse for literature.
46. #13, Bryan Tamap---can you read?
Phil ,   US   (01.29.07)
Bryan, you are a pathetic bigot or a non-reader or just plain stupid. So far the contents of the book have been revealed as lies by scholars and diplomats who wrote the facts. Bryan, yopu are so stupid. Let me give you one example. The nazi sympathizer Carter (see Neal Sher's article) and antisemite (see the article on how Carter vetoed a non Jew from the Holocaust museum because his name sounded too Jewish) basically called President Clinton and Dennis Ross liars for their account that blamed Arafat for the failure of the Camp David and Taba talks. Herr Carter was not present at the negotiations and yet repeated Arafat's story blaming Israel for the failure of the talks. In addition, he plaigarized maps from Ross' book and just was full of lies including the historict meaning of Security Council Resolution 242. Yet Bryan, you knuclehead, you are stupid enough to show your ignorance by writing a post like youy did.
47. Feedman is a gossip monger.
Persian CAT   (01.29.07)
He has an axe to grind and everyone knows that. This piece of yellow journalism depends entirely on the claims of a signle person whose credibility is in doubt. Where's the proof? Every sentence starts with "Freedman said" or "He said". This liar could not even provide the name of the person which this article't title is about because he "did not have his permission"!!! Go figure.

yes it is freedom of speech! that is why we listen to you. sometimes you make sense, most times not!! would you please write something original for a change? stop using all those worn-out phrases from the hippy sixties! if the lands of freedom are so bad, why not go back to your lebanon? why be in canada? hurry up! go home! would you be happy under sharia? go for it! and take your child home to your hero nazrallah, too. get off our continent! you have worn out your welcome. freedom reigns here! it is also freedom of speech for me to say CARTER SUCKS!!
49. Carter = voice of reason.

If you read his books (those of you that CAN read, of course), you will find that his views are true and honest. We can thank him for revealing what a hopeless bunch of idiots run our govnments.
