Do you want the list of the 1539 kosher restaurants published here ? Can't you ask something , at least , lesser stupid ?
32. Shabbat Hours
Haifa, Israel   (01.31.07)
I believe one of the criteria is remaining closed Friday afternoon until after sundown on Saturday. This, alone, makes restaurants "non-Kosher" through no connection to the food.

An observant Jew , will not eat in a restaurant WITHOUT certificate . And the original one , not a copy .

You are the looser , you will never taste frog legs , lobster , or a serious steak a l'echalote . Those are incredibly fine dishes , but you won't find them easily here . I tasted them in Europe , sorry for you that you don't know them .

Your rabbi only can tell if the kitchen is kosher or not. None of them care if place is clean .I bet every rabbi have his own price :-))
36. #25 Kashrut has nothing to do with health and you know it!
Dorothy Friend ,   Tel Aviv   (02.01.07)
Maybe sometimes it works out that way, maybe not, but the purpose of kashrut was to keep Jews separate from others! I work with some very religious people and they say this too, and with pride.
37. #34 - Sue, chill
Dorothy Friend ,   Tel Aviv   (02.01.07)
Look, as everyone knows, not everybody needs foods like that to be happy, so don't make silly taunts. I'm perfectly happy drinking wine that hasn't been cooked or flash pasturized, we all have our thing

David   (02.01.07)
The shoe is on the other foot. You are the ignoramus. #26 is not a person named Rav Erev ! He is refering to the Hebrew term "Erev Rav" - a multiitude mixture of gentiles" who have always tagged on to the Jewish people for anything up for grabs, but have not accepted the Torah.

Shoe fits ,   only Israel   (02.02.07)
You poor guy, I was joking. Mocking actually...which is all Rav Erev deserves. I think I'll call him the Errever Rebbe too, for all you jerks to join him on 'erev shabbos' ha ha. Yes Charles I KNOW the word is SHABBAT. I was joking around with the phrase, ok? We religious are happy and like to joke, unlike 'other' constipated miseries.

Have a lovely happy life. If you're happy with your shrimps frogs and whatever, then I'm happy for you. As long as I'm eating miles away from you. So we're both happy. I don't know if my steak makes you feel sick, but sorry, that's what your stuff does for me. When in London, I have a problem at the smell in food dept. of stores (making my way to the general and kosher sections) . I feel the need to vomit. My problem completely.

Yes, but he was talking about you. And I made the mistake of telling him to let you be...
43. #42 thank you
Sue ,   ta   (02.05.07)
I appreciate it. (BTW the prize winning golan wines are not at all bad either...)if we all keep a sense of proportions and a sense of humour, we'll be ok. If you read hebrew ynet check out uri ohrbachs latest article there. It will get your fuses going I think, sadly. I always thought he's like us, who feels very happy with our non observant friends and they with us. Respect and concentrating on similarities, is, and always will be, the key.( Poliker Poliker !!) His column however in yediot on friday on the Ramon episode was superb. 'Geh Vayss' as they say in Yiddish.
44.  I take it back
sue again ,   ta   (02.05.07)
Mr. Ohrbach's translated article had me in fits of laughter. It's a gem. I guess that's the norm in somewhere like ultra strict parts of Bayit Vegan J'm. Much of it doesn't worry us or our married kids ( Some relig. some not ) But I could really identify, and loved it. I bet his mates had a good laugh too. Many of the hebrew talkbacks were so 'heavy' and 'personally insulted' style ( silly people). Hopefully we anglos can enjoy a laugh and even sometimes at ourselves. We datiyim do sound rather whacky, I admit.

Yes, but the Golan wines aren't "cooked. " I think the only Israeli wines that are still "cooked " are Carmel (maybe just the cheaper ones), Hebron and the very small haredi wineries.
46. I got it wrong again!!
u know by now   (02.05.07)
I thought you were hinting that as all kosher wine is boiled (yuk) it sucks. We 'dossim' are SO paranOYic...
47. Why they don't have a teudah
Ari ,   Washington D.C, USA   (07.08.09)
Or maybe because they are open on Shabbat?
48. pizza and peperoni is a staple....
