36. I better duck before the next "racism" mudball hits me on ..
its way towards Ray.
I always find it curious that the usual suspects that brainwash our youth and society with the political correctness doctrine, are very often the same teachers who teach courses that deal with group, ethnic, and regional or national characteritics such as anthropology, sociology, political science and so on.
Liberal Bill Moyer's did a report for liberal PBS on the prevalency of many young black men to have unprotected sex with their women, but take no responsibility for the results and also blame the women. Practically all the students viewing the report were screaming that Moyers was a racist apparently having no notion what an important role he played in president Johnson's push for civil rights. The professor just stood there.
Yes that's the new way of dealing with anything one can't deal with. Just shoot the messenger and call him a racist. Wait, that's the old way. The more things seem to change the more ......
I guess we are all just the same. I should act the same way with Jews in New York or the South as I do with Jews in the Midwest where I grew up.
Nothing any ethnic group does ever annoys another. God forbid if anyone should mention it and others can't deal with it.
Sometimes ethnic groups have traits and customs that get positive results, and we would be wise to learn them. Other times they have behaviors and attitudes that are counterproductive. We then have a choice to either separate ourselves or confront in hopefully a gracious or exceptable manner.
But how can anyone say anything if there are always the "knee jerk", shallow minded nearby ready to call anyone that speaks up a racist. What a way to deal with reality and bring different people together.
I'm going to complain to my fellow eastern European friend about this because we have so much fun complaining. However, I'm not going to complain to my white Anglo Saxon protestant friend about this because he doesn't enjoy complaining. And, to my other friends who don't quite fit the majority, I'll just have to adjust to their sensibilities.
