When you don't know how to solve your own problems, just create new ones. This seems to be the philosophy of the extremists. They don't know anymore how to re-establish a quiet way of living together, so then they make a suicide attack in order to force the Israeli reaction: this would surely not solve their problems but will allow the forming of an united front against the common ennemy and the starting of a world spread propaganda about the cruelty of the Israelis . On the other side, if Israel wouldn't react they will feel encouraged and stronger. It's a real bad situation. I don't have any solutions, and envy those who think to have , but I would suggest that Israeli should try to cooperate with the moderate part of the Palestinians (and there should be, I am confident about), helping them to isolate the extremists with school exchanges, medical and hospital aidings, social improvement programs, etc. Both sides must undestand than from dialog and collaboration could come life and better living conditions, while from the opposite could only come death and destruction. I think Hamas feel desperate and with no other way than terror. This is the moment to show them Israel don't come down to their level. P.S. I feel really pity for those who in a forum like this one instead of taking this opportunity to start dialoguing together, eventually looking for new chances of development, find the way to insult the others or, even worse, rejoice and exult for an act that spread violence, death and sorrow.

I agree with #40 in that this is a forum for dialogue. Israel vs. Palestine, Jews vs. Muslims, etc. There is no answer as it is all subjective. What is not subjective is whether killing other human beings is right or wrong. Both religions, all for that matter, are based on peace. Religion in itself is not violent; humans are. It is our interpretation which creates violence and war. Peace between people can only happen when there is peace within oneself. I bet if you put Mohommed, Jesus, and Moses together they would not be violent towards each other. In fact they would show us how to live together, in peace and harmony, with respect for others' rights to believe what they want to believe. We should emulate the prophets behavior and way of life.
