1. MURDERED for Being a Jew
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (01.30.07)
My condolences to the families of these precious and innocent Jews.
2. My condolances to their families
Patricia ,   Waipahu, Hawaii, USA   (01.30.07)
So very sad, these young men were simply carrying on with their daily activies, probably supporting their family to have a good life. For that they were so horribly murdered. May they rest in peace and may their families have good memories to substain themselves during this time of grief.
3. Carter, typos and death.
mike ,   Chicago, USA   (01.30.07)
Words have power. This bomb is the first after Carter's book gave license to kill Jews with suicide bombs. A Carter Bomb.

It isnt Carters fault- I doubt any Palestinian even read the book, let alone KNOWS of it. They are too poor to get info like that- or books. Carter was speaking the truth. the situation in that area is a myriad of different perspectives. The Israelis ARE occupying and oppressing the PALESTINIANS- their lives cannot be normal or healthy- with the wall, no army of their own, checkpoints, family in prisons ,bulldozed homes, stolen land, orchards , no economy to speak of, and pain and anger for past grievences and THEIR children getting killed due to the IDF. Have any of you seen the "youtube" videos on youtube of how the settlers TREAT the Palestinians in the occupied territories? and the Palestinians are suppossed to like the Israelis ??? I suggest googling that- for you own education- A suicide bomber is scary to us all. Someone willing to give their life to kill others is committed beyond most people- and I dont think anyone condones it. but the root of those actions are not just one sided- the Israelis have done enough damage to the Palestinians so as to invoke this- yes, it is a tragedy for both sides. I suggest YOU READ Carters book and see for yourself- the calm, unbiased viewpoint he delivers, a fact based book..- a greater understanding to the volatile situation. bread is not buttered on one side only.

i understand that the lives of the Palestinian people are, in our eyes, somewhat dim. I would, however, before condoning the use of suicide bombs to improve quality of life, urge you to consider what the situation is like in other countries around the world, and ask yourself if you would give the OK to use violence to solve problems there. Consider Saudi Arabia, where practicing Christianity can be punished by death, Syria, where the penalty for conversion to Judaism or Christianity is equally grave, or even Egypt, where speaking out against the government on a blog can land one in jail. Where is your outcry against that? It is NEVER permissible to say that one can kill innocent civilians when they are unsatisfied, especially when those unhappy people have been offered land and have refused it, because the HAMAS government they elected has as part of its slogan that they will recognize Israel only until they have succeeded in annihilating every Jew, and can take the country for themselves. Carter not only falsifies documents and information, but presents an argument that demolishes all the good the country of Israel has ever done and questions its right to exist based on the actions of a government, not an entire people. When any other country in the world does something terrible do we ask if that country has the right to exist? No! We depose leaders, condemn individuals, and outcry against policy.
