This decision is stupid, not to say moronic. It is in line with ALL previous decisions taken on both sides by so called "authorities" Pulling Gunmen off the streets will never solve anything. PULLING GUNS OFF would. Untill there is a total ban on free run of guns in Gaza and the territories, there will be no internal peace. Islamists cannot operate without guns or terror, and I do not see HAMAS deciding suddenly that what they want is the well being of the Palestinian people. As to Fatah, I do not see them accepting that Hamas builds up tons of equipment " just in case" without some kind of control from the "PA Authority. There will be more dead men within the next 24 hours ! As usual....and all of this in the name of god !

Unfortunately this reality, that the only thing that Palestinians can agree on is hatred of Israel, is evidence that Israel will face a destabilized and unreliable neighbour long after a peace agreement. That does not mean we should not seek one, but Palestinians must be totally demilitarrized. Unfortunately, Hamas, has had far too long to build a popular base of support there. Radical islamists will destabilize Palestine for years to come.
