Lets face it people, Europe will just stick its head in a hole rather that confront Iran or anyone else. The Iran problem can be solved in a matter of 45 minutes or less.

35. American Military Power
Johnson ,   USA   (02.01.07)
Our military is not as weak as some posters appear to believe . But, some of our spineless polititions are. Our military is armed to the teeth, we have plenty of firepower, and a few tricks up our sleeve.

37. I wish I could give Bush 8 more years
Joe ,   Ohio, USA   (02.01.07)
I believe in staying the course as he puts it and I feel that Iran will take a hit but North Korea won't. That's a shame. I doubt any other US leader would take a tough stance that is, I believe needed to bring some sense to these people. It's a shame we all just can't be reasonable and just get along.
38. All you right wing nut jobs...
Frank ,   depew, NY   (02.01.07)
All you people who talk about this future "conflict" with Iran being easy, are the same ones who didn't hesitate to raise up and back Bush to attack Iraq... Just duplicate the "shock and Aww" and everything will be okay??? Look where that got us... Atleast 300 billion dollars in the hole and cost us the lives of over 3,050 us seervice men & women. Let's not forget the what around 150,000 Iraqi's you hear about in the media. We dont have the economic power or a stong enough reputation in the world (now thanks to the Bush administration) at the present time to stage a war not only with Iran but their allies aswell (Russia, Venezuela, N. Korea... and who knows, maybe even China) to mention a few... You right wing nut jobs never think before you act... typical! It's not just about Iran, And we have to remember that before making any hasty decisions or taking any military action.
39. Correction
Frank ,   Depew, Ny   (02.01.07)
Just to clearify... I mean "let's not forget the what around 150,000 Iraqi's that we DON'T hear about in the media"

Heaven forbid Euroweenies lose government subsidized jobs or livelihoods buy losing business with apocalyptic muslims -- when others are threatened by the loss of their LIVES by said Euroweenie business partners. But hey, I guess its too much to ask you self absorbed socialists to learn from your past mistakes.
41. Think Long-term
(02.01.07)
You think the US is losing the war in Iraq because we lost 3,050 US soldiers but you neglect the loss of lives on our enemies is 10 times that much. People like you who think short-term and dream of peace are the first ones to call for help when you're being invaded by your stronger neighbors. The US wasted time getting involved in WWII and too many lives were lost as a result. Instead of looking at only 3,050 US lives lost so far, you should imagine how many, many, many, much more lives would be lost had we done nothing you short-term idiot. Learn your history and shut up.
42. Response to Oleg
AR ,   USA   (02.02.07)
1. The US put Saddam in power. 2. The US armed Saddam. 3. The US and Britian ran interference in the UN so Saddam could continue gassing iranians. 4. HAH Iran knows america wouldnt invade that is why they would send 1 million into IRAQ. DURRR. And Afghanistan. 5. Yes i really do believe Hiz will survive and alot more israelis will die in the next war. Ive seen pictures of lebanon and it dosnt look like the israelis were holding back. 6. USA is making wars all across the planet. The US has never gone more than a couple years without going to war or starting a war somewhere in the world. 7. Israel occupies palestine, Lebonan, and Syria. 8. War mongerers lead the world into terrible wars Bush Iraq. Hitler and the World. (Bye the way even if the european countries had wanted to confront hitler at the time they couldnt dont let history books decieve you the French and the British were still recovering for war and They didnt want to go to war 20 years after of peace Hitler started the war just like Bush has done in iraq and will do in Iran. 9. Was the US. responsible when it almost completely wiped out the Native Americans, was it responsible when it killed 800,000 Filipinos, what about when it started a war with iraq based on lies and drilled that country with enough depleted uranium to ensure that only a small number of iraqi children will be born without major birth defects. Were we responsible when we attacked vietnam, cambodia, korea, panama? 9. USA destroys democracies wherever they are anti american businesses.
43. decades apart
niceguyeddie   (02.02.07)
Domestic opposition is as potent as it was in the 60's in spite of the lack of a draft. That's really amazing if you stop and think. The 60's and the 00's are going to be very similar when it's all said and done. Both decades were wrecked by events early on, Kennedy and 9-11, and both were likely foreign born attacks resulting in renewed internationalism followed by fatigue, anger and political violence.

Long term? Think long term... Think about the long-term effects us being there will have! That's okay though,y you will eat those words all in due time. Maybe instead of catching up on history... You should focus on current events. It has been stated numerous times that due to our "presence" in Iraq our enemies have not only been the real victors as of yet but are only getting stonger. You are one of those whom think the war stopped terrorist from attacking us here! This is true but, if you look beyond that, we did exactly what they wanted us to do. They want to kill Westerner's... Anyway possible. We brought the enemy to them... They have easy access to westerner's. Now they have a "breeding ground" setup in Iraq. Stop watching Fox News and enlighten yourself. You know what... I dont even know why I bothered typing all this. This is getting way-off subject. Besides... it don't matter what we do in Iraq... The Iranian's have them selve's so deeply imbedded in Iraq, there is nothing we can do about it.

46. German and France's fault
Keith Tyler ,   U.S.A.   (02.05.07)
I agree that Germany and France could have done more in this war on terror , but as usual money played the bigger and more important role in their policy making decisions.
