1. yeshua amen party
augustine johnson ,   birmingham alabama   (02.04.07)
the amen party sounds like a good thing -- however a yeshua amen party sounds better ---- ie. all call on yeshua -- the same yeshua who 2000 years ago who said he was the messiah of israel who said he would be rejected and would return to save israel ----- shalom ----- augustine
2. To #1
GF ,   Jerusalem   (02.04.07)
The reason we don't have 'yeshua' amen parties is because we only say Amen to the one true G-d, and not to any false messiahs. Our blessings go somewhere along the lines of "Blessed oh Lord our G-d King of the universe who created the bread of the land". To this we answer Amen. At your party you would probably word it something like "Blessed yeshua our G-d (he was not/is not/and will not ever be a g-d) King (same as above) of the universe who created the bread of the land (he never created anything)". To answer amen to this blessing is prohibited by Jewish Law.

To #1, Augustine: I cringe when I read posts like yours. What good comes from lecturing Jews about what they believe? We Christians can learn a thing or two from them. Ask Jews what they believe instead of telling them what you believe. You'll learn some amazing things this way. Keep your beliefs to yourself unless someone asks you about them. To #2, GF: Augustine had it coming, but what you wrote was pretty disrespectful.
4. An Amen Party 2,300 years long!
Roscio ,   Rome, Italy   (02.05.07)
Here in Rome, it is our very ancient minhag to say each prayer out loud, even for N'tilat Yadayim, (hand ablutions before blessing the bread), thus allowing others around us to have the mitzvah of saying "Amen". It is one of the many reasons for our strong communal feeling here, and our survival (and current Jewish revival) after 23 centuries in Rome. Interestingly enough, the brand-new Libyan Jewish community, the "Tripolini" in Italian, who came here 40 years ago, do the very same loud Amen in daily prayers and incredibly loudly during the High Holy Day liturgy..... once you have experienced this spiritual high, you can never forget it! Come visit us here in Rome and experience Jewish life here first-hand.! Amen! www.jewishromantours.com

Thank you - you beat me to it. I am very, very tired of non-Jews thinking that if they call Jesus "Yeshua", it will make him more acceptable to Jews. They should just give it up once and for all.
6. Jesus is the Amen
m   (02.05.07)
No man can approach the Father Jehovah God of Israel, unless he comes through the son Jesus Christ. He fullfilled Jacobs prediction ' The scepter will not turn aside from judah neither the commanders staff from before his feet until Shiloh comes and to him the obedience of the peoples will belong.' So Shiloh came and Gods own people " rejected the scepter of his son' and Israel was scattered and all records ceased because it now was turned aside from judah because Shiloh had come. And we don't ask for an invitation to present our message because we have been commanded by God to declare it. So Judge for your own selves is it righteous to obey God or man as ruler?

truth strikes again   (02.05.07)
What you wrote was well taken, but I must note that if 2 was disrespectful, so was 1. 1 did not only give his Christian opinion/view, he also told this Jewish site, that they have it wrong, and 'this' is the way to do it. Yep, it gets old...

I agree with you that #1 was also not respectful. I figured my criticism conveyed that, but I guess I should have been more clear. You're right about "yep, it gets old." I'm appalled whenever I read a post where a Christian spouts their dogma and tells Jews they're wrong. Doing that is very disrespectful and offensive, and I recoil from that whether I see it on this site or in my community (and I'm a Christian) Regarding your other point, I don't know about Ynet being a Jewish site, though others have said that before also. I see it more as a news site in Israel. I hope we're all welcome here, in any case.
9. Say Amen To Deuteronomy 18:20-22
Yishai Kohen ,   YeShA, Israel   (02.05.07)
20 But the prophet, that shall speak a word presumptuously in My name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, that same prophet shall die.' 21 And if thou say in thy heart: 'How shall we know the word which the L-RD hath not spoken?' 22 When a prophet speaketh in the name of the L-RD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the L-RD hath not spoken; the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously, thou shalt not be afraid of him. AMEN!

As far as I'm concerned you're welcome. As far as Ynet being Jewish or Israeli. You're correct it's Israeli . Hmmm ...Israel is Jewish...;)

Please see my inserted comments below: No man can approach the Father J God of Israel [GF]: Jewish law forbids the pronunciation of G-d's name (J above). , unless he comes through the son Jesus Christ. [GF]: 6 million in the holocaust, 10s of millions throughout Europe over the last 2000 years are all going to Hell. Those who: a) committed these murders (and most of the time in J's name), and b) accepted JC (for example Adaloph Eichman (Y'mach Shmo) who accepted JC just before he went to the gallows) have a front row seat in Heaven. Let me ask you a question. Have you ever heard of a "stupid Jew"? Probably not. We Jews have been called everything else under the sun, but never stupid. You know why. Simple, Jews aren't stupid. Jews aren't stupid enough to accept a religion that can give Adaloph Eichman (Y'mach Shmo) a ticket to Heaven, and send 6 million inocents to Hell. He fullfilled Jacobs prediction ' The scepter will not turn aside from judah neither the commanders staff from before his feet until Shiloh comes and to him the obedience of the peoples will belong.' So Shiloh came and Gods own people " rejected the scepter of his son' and Israel was scattered and all records ceased [GF] I know the name of my great- great-...grandfather back 150 generations. His name was Aahron ben Amram. I know the clothing he wore, the prayers he said, the food he ate, and I know his family tree. I have more in common with him than I do with you, and that is after having lived with you for almost 2000 years. How many gentiles know the name of their own great-grandfather? because it now was turned aside from judah because Shiloh had come. And we don't ask for an invitation to present our message because we have been commanded by God to declare it. So Judge for your own selves is it righteous to obey God or man as ruler?
12. See it yourself

I am reading Isaiah 53 and I see Yeshua. I read of the blood on the doors of Passover and I see the cross and Yeshua. Doesn't anybody else read?
13. Watchman: That's Talking About The Nation Of Israel
Yishai Kohen ,   YeShA, Israel   (02.05.07)
And ONLY to us; G-d revealed Himself to us, we shot up right forth as a sapling, we have been was despised and forsaken of men, we have been like sheep and gone astray, we have been oppressed, etc... In fact, as to the (suffering) servant issue, also see 4 chapters earlier in Isaiah- 49:3 "And He said unto me: 'Thou art My servant, Israel, in whom I will be glorified." Shall I go on? None of this applies to ANY other nation- or person; ONLY the nation of Israel.
14. Dear Yishai
Watchman ,   Finland   (02.05.07)
The Lord Jesus Christ, Yeshua, was and IS a Jew. Isaiah 53 prophecies of Him, of whom Zecharias 12:10 says, "they shall look upon Me whom they have pierced". Isaiah 7:14 also said, that the Lord himself would give you a sign; "Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel." If you study the link below - with open heart - He will show you how everything fits in its place perfectly. This is not Hellenism nor any Polytheism. This is the Prophecy of God Almighty, Elohim (which is plural, not singular). God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. Three Persons, but One God. "Hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth." http://www.JeesusOnHerra.com/Prophecy_Heb.pdf
15. Dear Watchman
Yishai Kohen ,   YeShA, Israel   (02.05.07)
Like I showed you, Isaiah 53 is clearly talking about the nation of Israel and nobody else- and again, see Isaiah 49. Isaiah 53 is talking about the same suffering servant; the nation of Israel. NOWHERE in the Bible is there mention of a virgin conceiving. Your Bible is a complete mistranslation. Isaiah 7 is talking about a young woman (alma= עַלְמָה)- not a virgin. The Hebrew word for virgin, which is found throughout the Bible, is bitula (בתולה). Fro a critical edition of a Christian text (note 1493): The original Hebrew has עַלְמָה , which means simply a “young woman,” not distinctively a “virgin.” The LXX, followed by Matt. i. 23, wrongly translated by παρθένος , “virgin” (cf. Toy’s Quotations in the New Testament , p. 1 sqq., and the various commentaries on Matthew). Theodotion and Aquila translated the Hebrew word by νεᾶνις , which is the correct rendering, in spite of what Irenæus says. The complete dependence of the Fathers upon the LXX, and their consequent errors as to the meaning of the original, are well illustrated in this case (cf. also Justin’s Dial . chap. 71). http://www.ccel.org/ccel/schaff/npnf201.iii.x.ix.html In any case, your misunderstanding is based on mistranslations and taking Biblical verses out of context. Learn the original Hebrew and read with an open mind and an open heart and you'll see your errors.
16. Amen
Ruchama ,   Israel   (02.05.07)
Some day we'll realize that the point is not what we can get but what we can give. G-d gives us life before we say amen. It is our glory that we can appreciate the gifts we have recieved and give loving thankful praise and service in joy. But somehow our teachers want to turn us into selfserving beggars and make every service an act of I'll scratch your back you scratch mine even with the Al-Mighty Himself. It would be our good fortune and ennoblement if we could rise above our "needs" which have always been provided for and graciously respond to Him as we would want to be responded to if we were the management.
17. why do so many goyim post here?
hanina   (02.06.07)
This is not the national inquirer or hiss magazine. Go post on your own websites. we heard it all and it is sooooooooooo boring. Groan........

Not all goyim posting here are bad. read again. and it is a free country. if you don't like hearing other people's thoughts, then shut down your mind. (it seems like you already have. )
19. #1, #9, #6, #12 & #14 Wrong
Josh   (02.08.07)
#1 Fervor for YHVH and for a man god who gets his power from a fallen spirit, who is moratlly wounded and rises again, and is worshiped for the miracles that he doe in the prescence of the spirit who gives him power - is not the same. #9 Jesus was a prophet. The fullfillment he does is the curses - hence he is call the horse (Hesus). He is the exact embodiment of Devarim 13 (Deut 13). To be the false prophet you must first be a prophet and second you must test the Jews on how much they know about Torah so that those that follow are burn up like chaff as they take on a god their fathers did not know. He did this and those that passed his tests he sent back to Torah and those that failed he told them to follow. Fishemen of fallen Jews (men). # 6 Christians are fallen jews. Christianity was created by Jews who did not do Torah. #12 Try again. You need to read Torah and understand the prophecies in context. Yeshu or Jesus was not born Immanuel. So already your ignoring the obvious truth. #14 The is not a single prediction that puts Jesus on the map besides Deut 13. & revalation. The Messiah was to be a man like Mosses. Returning from sin. Who united the world at a time when Isreal was being collected back to the land and the world was united. Jesus supposedly had not sin was immaculately concieved came to bring war not peace (his words). He came at a time of the temple destruction when Jews were being driven out of the land. Try reading the whole story instead of out of context passages. Then you can learn what the subject and point and details of the prophecies. Moses criticizes the Hebrews and calls for a future where they don't do Torah and are forced to worship and work for the gods of others. Todays Jews are not far from those who accepted Jesus in that they are out or touch of Mosses' pashoot. So praise at this point is overdoing it.
