What is Heshin trying to do, run for President?
2. Sounds like al quaeda to me. Part of the Jewish taliban
Bush ,   USA   (02.07.07)
"He who raises his hand against my home – I shall cut off his hand." He just switched head to hand. What an extremist. But then again he himself raised his hand against G-ds home so lets see who's hand gets chopped off first
3. Mishael Heshin - on appt.of Friedman
Oskar Prager ,   Petach Tikva   (02.07.07)
The comments made by the retired judge sounds to me just like the comments of the ayatolla in Iran. So why doesn't he go live in Qum where no one will say a word against him or his judgements ?
4. "Supreme Court"
Ben Hur ,   Manhattan, USA   (02.07.07)
Justice Mishael Heshin is apparently more radical in his "religion" than the most radical Hassid. Newsflash: The word "Supreme" in the term "Supreme Court" does NOT mean supreme over all other branches of government. It is supreme over the other COURTS, exclusively. Another Israeli drunk with power.
5. They're barking lound, I think they're scare of Friedmann.
Jeremiah ,   Israel, Jewish Land   (02.07.07)
Good!
6. Is Heshin threatening Friedman with death?
jason white ,   afula,israel   (02.07.07)
The gladiators fought to the death. The high court should not have it's power limited. It should be eliminated. We do not need a court that legislates or one that interferes with security or religion. We do not need a court that foreigners can use against our state.
7. Heshin's rantings show the appointment to be correct.
S Judah ,   London   (02.07.07)
This former Justice is truely arrogant in his comments. People talk about democracy and how autocratic are the pronouncements of Rav Ovadia and Rav Eliyashiv. But look at this man's comments "I will cut of the hands". He should be investigated for incitement. He won't be because double standards apply. Of course the independance of the court should be protected. But this Supreme Court has interfered in all sorts of areas it has no business in so doing and it is for this , that many respectable and prominent people are saying enough. What the way to the secular left people cannot get through the ballot box, they get through this court. That's not democracy, that is Meretz theocracy. This is the real Taliban in Israel.
8. Judges
JC ,   Heavenly Jerusalem   (02.07.07)
One of the most important jobs in the world is that of a judge. No one can escape things that go on in ther daily lives that some judge hasn't signed an ordinance for, or against. That said, it is fitting to be careful who you put in as a judge. "And I will restore to you your judges as at the first, and your counsellors(lawyers), as at the beginning: afterward you shall be called, The city of righteousness, the faithful city". Isaiah 1:26---If the judges are against what is right, I don't care who they are, they gotta go. It's time to clean out the barn.

"He who raises his hand against my home"... His home? The Court is not his home but an institution belonging to ALL Israelis, and he was a servant of the people of Israel. "I shall cut off his hand" ... isn't that statement quite illustrative of the mentality of "his Court" and its legacy?
13. the supreme court, not unlike irans council of mullahs
aaron ,   ra'anana   (02.08.07)
unelected, lawmakers for life who know better than us and need to protect us from ourselves --- ring a bell?
