Jews were taught from a very young age to only vote for Democrats (I was). Most are scared of the Christian right thinking they are all anti-Semites. The truth is today's anti-Semites mainly come from the left and they have infected the Democratic party. Since Jimmy Carter the party has not been the same. Clinton pretended to care for Israel, but sold it down the river. Between Oslo and 9/11 he still has a lot to answer for and I won't give him another chance to run this country thru his wife. Obama is the next Jimmy Carter, but I'm not worried about him winning. We need to be more worried about Bill Clinton's 3rd term.

In recent history, it all goes back to the 60s with its ideals of human rights, end to racial segregation, opposition to the Vietnam war, freedom for all, etc., etc. These days the Blacks that Jewish kids gave their lives for during the Freedom Rides, are extremely anti-Semitic (many turning to Islam). The Leftist workers unions too, are involved in anti-Israel politics. The Leftist university students and faculty are rabidly anti-Israel. That's the Left these days. But many decent Jews keep voting Democrat because they think that they are voting for a progressive agenda (against Big Business, against War, and pro social services for the poor). However, a good number of Jews in the US and all over the world have decided that being anti-Israel, like many Democrats, makes them a little less Jewish and more acceptable in their social circles. It's a sickness, and I have no answer to that or a prescription to cure it.
