Many Jews leve the land of Israel seeking a better life elsewhewre. It's getting much worse here in the U.S. as the crime rate explodes out of control. The American dream has died. A nation which forgets God is a doomed nation indeed . There is more to life than Business.

Instead of being a victim of terror in Israel, he was a victim of terror here. Both countries are victims of savage terror.

Contrary to the above referenced remarks, the crime rate in the U.S. is down considerably and only slightly higher than its lowest point in over 40 years. Much of this is attributed to Three Strikes Laws, tougher enforcement and longer mandatory sentencing. We might have something to learn here. Unfortunately, in Israel the crime rate has soared over the same period. Corruption and general disrespect for the law are an accepted given. This is more likely to cause Israelis to emigrate than simply the search for a vague "better life elsewhere." The strongest ideology is no substitute for reality. No sane person would choose to raise their children and build a future in a country where prostitution and corruption are open, unchallenged and one is made to feel like a fryer ready for plucking. Marcel's conclusions are simplistic, but he is more than welcome to come here and partake of the Israeli dream.

For one, language barrier is a huge setback. Besides, few can leave behind their jobs, family obligations and friends. Don't know about Florida, but I would 'tailback' from the Big Apple to a quieter and slower moving spot in a flash, if I could.

You are all assuming that it was a simple murder and attempted robbery. How can we be so sure that it was not a hate crime? Lots of Muslims in Florida. More convenient to consider it the former. However, in most cases when Jews are murdered it is the later.

Your comments show a persecution complex. I am Jewish and wouldn't even think of this murder being done because of this person's religion or national origin. Maybe in your town in USA but not most. And, frankly, what on Earth is a hate crime anyway? That is an invention of mentally ill Liberals. I am going to go out on a limb and say that generally if somebody murders a person, they don't exactly love that person in anyway. A "hate" crime is a fiction. A violent crime is a crime whether you hate or love the victim. Because you criminalize hatred doesn't make it go away.
