5. What are the Russians thinking?
jon ,   Canada   (02.21.07)
Are they in bed so to speak, with the enemy? Is there a gun to their head? Why are they seemingly always taking the side of Hamas, Iran etc. Do they not comprehend that Islam is also their enemy in the long run? Or do they realize this and are afraid? Where will this lead?
6. #4 enjoy the monster you created?
jon ,   Canada   (02.21.07)
What do you mean? Are you daft? Hamas will never be a partner of Israel.....they fully intend to destroy Israel or to aid in that destruction and then to help in the hunting down of Jews world wide. They believe in Islamic world domination!

9. Not surprising!
Ram ,   London   (02.22.07)
Putin has his eyes on the Saudi petro -dollars. He will dance to any tune they play. He will even risk clashing with the US, kiss Hamas, appease the Chechens and compromise the entire security of the planet for short term financial gain. Will the US leadership have the guts to act as Kennedy did during the Cuban missile crises, should the need arise? Woe is me!
10. #6 yes, sure and the US Army liberate the iraqis in 2003

WAKE UP IT'S OVER
11. Russians see the US and Israel as sole players in ME
papa jay   (02.22.07)
With Bush going around the word pre-empting all the threats in his head with no evidence, Russia has a reason to be very worried. US is the only supper power, but Russia still has allot to say. it simply wants more influence in the ME, to leave things entirely up to the US and Israel is unacceptable. Russia wants to play super power too and it can back who others in the region to offset the US and Israel. After all, there is no APAC in Russia.
12. If this is Russian stance toward Hamas, what of Iran?
Steve ,   USA   (02.22.07)
B"H What is so different about the Hamas line which is translated from Arabic/Hebrew to mean violence, and Iran's President who preached about wiping out Israel from the map? Iran sponsors conferences and so forth with Hamas there. I am seeing Hamas as the active branch of Iran. What does this say about Russia and Iran? Hmmm. Russia is supplying the Iranian reactor for 1 Billion dollors.... It is very interesting Iran's role.
13. Truth about Russia and China
Juan R ,   Madrid   (02.22.07)
Russia has sold its soul for money. That is why thye help Iran and Syria. China however is the ultimate puppetmaster, helping Iran and using North Korea to needle the West!
14. Russians are simply trying to create chaos
(02.22.07)
15. If the US says yes Russia will allways say no
zionist forever   (02.22.07)
If the US said ease the sanctions Russia would be saying stand firm, if the US was against UN sanctions on Iran Russia would be inisiting on them. The old cold war attitude still exists in Russia and there is nostalgia for the days when Russia was one of only 2 superpowers and was respected and feared globaly because of its power but now thats all changed. In the good old days Russia was also a major player in the Middle East now their only influence is how much they will charge arab clients foir weapons today the US are the only outsider with a major role to play in the region. There needs to be serious political reform in Russia before these attitudes will die out.
