1. See, accidents happen...
DR ,   Florida, USA   (02.22.07)
If this had been the IDF, the whole world would have been angry and screaming bloody murder, But as long as the child was declared a Shahid and the family will get money, everything is ok. Strange culture indeed!!!
2. blame Israel
Igor D. ,   New York   (02.22.07)
lets blame Israel for this "accidental" killing... unbelievable!
3. Huh?
Yosef ,   Jerusalem   (02.22.07)

jeremy ,   Hula Valley   (02.22.07)
They say Israelis are trigger happy. Boy is that calling the kettel black. The P.A opens fire all the time, killing innocent people.
6. Was this child "murdered too?
Noam ,   Boca Raton, FL   (02.22.07)
I am so used to seeing in college campuses and on TV stations how PA propogandists always insist that every Palestinian killed by Israeli security forces was "murdered". Those that didn't stop at required stopping points :"murdered". Those who entered forbidden, sensitive areas: "murdered". Those who opened fire on soldiers and then killed in the ensuing gunbattle "murdered". Well what happened to this innocent boy whose family didn't follow the PA's authority? How would his death be called? Now Palestinian society must ponder.... since we allow violently attacking Israelis in response to our anger, are we suprised that Palestinians are now turning on ourselves when our security forces kill them. I doubt this issue will be noted by the propoganda machines at work to demonize all aspects and actions of Israel, noting that this practice of firing at cars that don't properly stop sometimes might merit opening fire.
7. While this is an unfortunate accident--
Jan ,   usa   (02.22.07)
It clearly shows that palestinians have no respect for each other(businesses, shops, etc...) nor do they have any respect for the law. It also proves that anyone can change the interpretation of the meaning of their koran, and make it say whatever is convenient for the moment. But still a sad time because an innocent life was lost.
8. Lawlessness in the territories
Rami ,   Nazareth, Israel   (02.22.07)
It is a shame that the state of law is almost inexistence in the areas controlled by Palestinians. An incident like this should be investigated to find out whether the officer was justified to shoot. If found guilty; he should be charged. Other than that, this shows how barbaric the Palestinians society has become.
9. responds to # 5
cj ,   usa   (02.22.07)
Yeah, they kill their own and then blame it on those dispicable zionist pigs. (Their words, not mine). Anything to incite a riot hey?

joe   (02.22.07)
as all the comments state: BARBARIC, LAWLESS, UNJUSTIFIED,SENSLESS, and one can go on & on. It's just a worthless society of their own making from cradle....... from dust to dust.
13. Poor kid, but
Oleg ,   USA   (02.22.07)
the whole riot point was just to get money. Simple, isn't it? Another thing how in the whole world he can be declared as a martyr?
14. "Accidentally killed"
Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (02.22.07)
This is the first time YNet has used these two words next to each other in an initial report.
15. The UN should send Tutu to investigate!

Yes you ! all those Israel haters ! Hey ! Michael , marlene and others . No comments from you ? The next time Israeli forces accidentally hurt a palestinian , i'll remember you your silence today if you dare to criticise .
18. no "pal " put the blame on olmert LTD yet
yossef ,   faranca   (02.22.07)

19. Where are you ?
charles ,   petach tikva   (02.22.07)
A second try . Where are you ? you michael , you marlene and you all those Israel haters ? Why don't you condemn this crime ? Why don't you ask if this was not a voluntary shooting to kill ? Or , maybe that in this case you believe it's an "accident" ? Remember well , the next time Israelis accidentally hurt a palestinian , accept this as an accident . I'll remember you your silence of today if you dare to criticise .
20. Shahid
Steven Rosenfeld ,   L.A. USA   (02.22.07)
I hope these Palestinians realize now that anyone can be a shahid, even if he is killed by his own people as he stands in the street. What an honor!
21. Now we know for sure what the title "sahid" means
Ibrahim ,   S. Arabia   (02.23.07)
We know that it is an empty word, given to manipulate idiotic young men to blow themselves up, or to silence grieving parents whose son was accidentally killed (with adequate money added). Muslims are the most naive people in the world.
