To destroy all the nuclear facilities and sites where Iran is developing their nuclear program Israel have to start a long campaign of bombing. Can Israel do that? I think it would be better to try other ways to make Iran abstain from developing nuclear weapons. Like supporting opposition groups within Iran and take the lead in an international campaign to pressure Iran through economic sanctions. If that dont work Israel should make it absolutely clear to Iran that it has an nuclear capability and that Israel is ready to use it if Iran continues to issue threats against Israel. An better option is to let the US do the job.

Israel is following the Americans' orders. The US wants Israel to take the blame and consequences for attacking Iran. This doesn't come from Olmert's own initiative. His spineless government would not even think of doing this on its own. He sounded very reassuring just the other day, about how sanctions were working so well. I can't help but feel ambivalent about this. Both options are dangerous for Israel: either attacking Iran or doing nothing. G-d will guide you.
