If what you say is true, "The religious Jesus was invented approx. 100 yrs. later when the Gospels were written." Why would those that walk with Jesus be willing to suffer a brutal death....they could have said they never new him and not have to suffer?

The evidences that Jesus was ressurected are the following. 1.The high Jewish priests accused Jesus's disciples of stealing the corpse to confuse Jewish people & claim that Jesus had risen. As a matter of fact if we analyse this claim we find that it is not logical. Because after 3 days from Jesus's burial the disciples were still in shock and in fear for their lives, being the disciples of unwanted religion leader. Therefore, it is not likely that they could have organised stealing a corps from a well guarded toomb. Bearing in mind that attacking the toomb's guards and stealing a corps will result in capital punishment. What makes me rule out the high priests claim, is that if they really believed their claim, they should at least had tried to report that to the Roman authority in order to arrest the handful of Jesus's followers at that time to find out where is the stollen corps and to protect the Jews from following Jesus. 2. The most important proof is the real commitment and strong confidence of the disciples that made them sacrifice their lives defending their claim, that they saw Jesus in person after he was ressurected. No person, under any cirumstances will sacrifice his life to defend something he is not sure off.. 3- The third important proof that Jesus is alive, is the success of christian faith for 2000 years. Despite all the dificulties, the poor uneducated fisherman could not have conquered the Roman empire without an extraordinary spirtual power that guide them & strengthen them. The poor jew whose the Roman soldiers made fun of him at his crucifiction. Proved to the word that he is victorious at the end. Here is the Roman emperor Constantine and in less than 400 years submitted to Jesus as his king & savior & here are the pagans gods like Baal & others were defeated & their faiths disapeared from the entire region. The final proof is my heart & my instinct, that Jesus must be alive because every time I pray for him I know my prayer will be answered. I pray for you now that you will find him. I am pretty sure that he will not be foun in the grave. Look inside your hearts. SALLAM.

I didn't say good, I said fairly good. Good would be to have copies of documents and exact dates. It would be excellent considering what was going on at the time. I make the assumption that people could have looked at these records and countered the claims quite easily if it were possible. Anyways on the non-Christian writers we have some unflattering ones such as Tacitus, Lucian of Amosata, Pliny, and a couple more who I haven't checked out yet.
