1. So Where Does This Leave US?
Dave Levy ,   Burbank. USA   (02.25.07)
This report is nothing new., and therefore why give it any import? For months now, the strength of Hezbollah, Hamas, Syria and Iran has been reported as increasing. Just read any Israeli paper, note statements by dozens of Israeli officials, and even the NYTimes for updates. The real question is: what is Israel prepared to do? So far, I don't see any plan of action at all, just more ineffective raids, and rhetoric about Iran, Syria, etc. Lots of noise from Israel, and nothing really said to solve this 100 year old crisis between Jew and Arab.
2. So What
MK ,   Atlanta, USA   (02.25.07)
All the intel in the world will do nothing with the current morons running the country. There's no use yelling "fire" when the idiots in charge won't acknowledge it or act on it..
3. Israel less secure ,sucessful agenda of Road Map
Marcel ,   Florida   (02.25.07)
Israel has been weakened by the Olso ,Road Map scam which has brought everything but peace. Better defeat the enemy before he defeats you !
4. they said this before
(02.25.07)
((but the odds of a full-scale war launched by Syria – like the Yom Kippur )) ...... remember in 73, they said the Syrian and Egyptian army had to wait tens of years to recover from the 67's defeat. tell them to ask their colleagues!
5. Sounds by far more boring than meetings where I work.

Reality Check ,   BaGolan   (02.26.07)
We can all theank Olmert and Peretz for placing as many roadblocks as they can in the way of the IDF

Mustafa ,   Canada   (02.26.07)

9. Atavistic kingdoms and religion based states must stand
Apartheid ,   Boston USA   (02.26.07)
shoulder to shoulder against the march of history.
10. Vulnerability
Abir ,   Chicago, IL USA   (02.26.07)
Israel's vulnerability is its leadership. A bunch of opportunists, out to fill their coffers. Collectively, Israel's leaders have taken incompetency to a whole new level.
11. No. The weak states are more pragmatic.
Zvi ,   USA   (02.26.07)
It is not that the pragmatic states are weak. The states that are pragmatic are more pragmatic because they are weak, and hoping for help.

1948.....arabs attacked jewish setgtlements, warning other arabs to flee because "we'll drive the jews into the sea". we won! 1967.....seven arab nations attacked israel intending to drive it into the sea according to gamal nasser. we won! yom kipur war......arab nations attacked israel on the holliest day of the year, catching us completely unprepared. we won! 2006....hizbullah together with lebanon, iran and syria entered israeli borders and kisnapped soldiers, holding them for ransom. we responded by destroying the entire lebanese economy and infrastructure and made nasrallah admit, that had he known israeli reaction, he would have never kidnapped these soldiers. we have not seden soldiers since then and do not know if they are alive or dead. SO WHO ATTACKED WHOM HERE??????
13. arabs have learn from mistakes & Israel learns to make them
zionist forever   (02.26.07)
God helps those who help themselves a lesson the arabs have learned very well since Oso bud sadly at the same time Israel has forgoton all about it. Israel has handed over more and more land to the palestaians for empty promises. Israel gave the palestians army surplus guns to help combat terror but those guns today are used against Israeli soilders. Israel provides the palestians with electricity, water, jobs, money and it gets nothing in return. Even now to try and prop up what they call a moderate Abbas now in the pockets of hamas he is being given more guns and bullets, his security forces most of them members of one of the terror groups are being trained in modern combat by the US so they can fight the terrorists. Rabin, Peres, Natanyahu, Barak, Sharon, Olmert, Peretz & Livni all have made the same mistakes of trying to negotiarte peace with the palestians and handed over territory and want to hand over more. Also at the same time the arabs have been spending more money on their millitary capabilities Israel has been cutting the millitary budget almost anualy. The arabs have learned well how to manipulate Israel and the rest of the western world and the suckers have all fallen for it
14. Intelligence Chief says Israel vulnerable
Joe Charlap ,   Jerusalem   (02.26.07)
I cant believe that the Chief of Army Intelligence would broadcast to all our enemies that Israel is vulnerable. What a message to send! This will encourage our enemies to take even bolder steps to attack us. Before making statements of this nature, careful thought should be given to what the ripple effect could be. (Are you hearing me Amos?)
15. Peres, Peretz, please tell us we're safe. Pretty please.
LEE ,   NY, USA   (02.26.07)
16. #8...reverse logic....
DR ,   Florida, USA   (02.26.07)
When Hizballah attacked Israel, and Israel responded, you probably whined like a little girl, right? Syria is "messing" with Israel all the time. They are just lucky that Israel has not acted yet. It is only a matter of time before syria and Iran get theirs. I assure you that.
17. Israel Vunerable
Miriam Jakubowitz ,   PHILA USA   (02.27.07)
Unfortunately, Iraq and Iran are leaving Israel no option other than to do whatever it takes to protect itself. Perhaps the Iranian President will be overthrown and peace may somewhat prevail. We can and will always Hope........................
