31. oh ffs
Intedi Nensak ,   Stockholm, Sweden   (03.02.07)
blablabla. stop whining! why do some people have to see conspiracy and antisemitism in EVERYTHING? political songs are simply not suitable, 2 years ago Ukraine was forced to change their lyrics too in the last minute because it was too political, and they didn't even sing about any bombs. if this song isn't meant to be political then it will be cleared, but it is not difficult to see why someone would make associations to Iran in the lyrics.
32. Who cares about Eurovision Song Contest ?
Isak ,   Norway   (03.02.07)
We don´t like that stupid song contest, it´s not music in that contest but elevator music. So if they banned "Push the button" send them a thank you card.
33. Israel, EU - Why
Laurence ,   Santa Ana, CA USA   (03.03.07)
Europe has made very clear its feelings about Jews. Why would any sane Israeli wish to become part of the EU? Isn't getting dumped on daily by the idiotic UN enough of a burden? NATO - That makes more sense.
34. #14: there's no reference to a special person
Tobias ,   Germany   (03.03.07)
There is no sign who could be meant by "crazy leaders". If you think that it's about Israeli leaders, then it is your interpretation. Depending on the political position of the songwriters / singers, the "crazy person" who "gonna push the button" could be AHamanInJihad (I mean, the president of Iran), or the Israeli P.M. - or, for example, president G. W. Bush, or Osama bin Laden, or russian president Putin, or .... For example, if a group in Germany had sung exactly this text 4 years ago, they surely would have been critizised because of an alleged reference to G. W. Bush as "crazy leader". Now they say it si about Iran's leaders...
35. #24: things, that the jews are comitting...
Tobias ,   Germany   (03.03.07)
... to the palestinians today: Do you mean, for example, treating them in hospitals? please read here: http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/121069 and here: http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3371116,00.html
36. #24: What are the things that the jews are commiting ...
Tobias ,   Germany   (03.03.07)
... in your opinion? Just for your information, Europe includes also Germany. Thus, "things which the Europeans commited to the jews" includes the holocaust - and I cant't recognice anything similar to that in "the things that the jews are commiting". If you really want to suggest such an equation, I ask you to read some history books (about the history of jews in Europe, as well as about the conflict in the middle east)
37. U2 is very political, SO wot?
john ,   nz   (03.03.07)
Goes to show Eurovision wants to appease Islam. Unfortunately, there isn't an Islamic rock group good enuf to come up with a number to bash Israel. oh yea, they rather allow some satanic rock group to win last year's contest. My Lord!
38. This could well be the song that could save the world
john ,   nz   (03.03.07)
Eurovision SC blew it. Theyj just created a storm in a Teapacks. OK, boycott the contest. Keep them in the dark and feed them b/s
39. No. 8 Shari
NYC Girl   (03.03.07)
"No way the Israeli panel wilI agree to send second class citizens (darkies) to represent the white supremacy Israel." I guess that's why they sent Ofra Haza and Dana International (both "darkies" of Yemenite extraction) to the Eurovision contest. Whatever the reason for your personal animosity, it doesn't give you the right to negate the truth.
40. #10 To Snarling Sharl
Lina ,   USA   (03.03.07)
NYC Girl is correct. Israel has won the Eurovision contest three times and 2/3 of the winning singers were of ME origin (Misrachi). Not sure where Sharl is coming from but it is not a nice place.
41. Edgy and Obviously Pushing Buttons
Lina ,   USA   (03.03.07)
I don't really like the song but it certainly does send a message that Europeans can relate to as well. Nothing like controversy to grab the viewers interest. They might be able to carry it off if they add good looking dancers.
42. Welcome to Finland!
Helena ,   Finland   (03.04.07)
Our song won last year the Finnish voting overwhelmingly, but I think the song Halleluja is not at all acceptable to this kind of contest. And not the monsters either.Maybe we have such a bad complex because we never manage to win, that we try desperately to get attention.. I don´t know about other countries and their political songs but I don´t think this is some antisemitic decision if Israel´s song is not accepted. Not all in Europe are hating you! You don´t know how many (hundreds of) thousand friends you have in Europe and in FinlanD! You have had great songs and singers and I personally hope you take part and we can once again hear the song from Israel in this contest which is full of insicnificant dull songs. Welcome to Finland!
43. # you are locked in the past
Tandy   (03.05.07)
Yes the Teapachs (Tippex) are dark and from Shderrot. You may have not notices but Dana International is also not of European decent. If you know anything about light and dark Israelies you would know that Shiri Mimons(sent last year) is dark although she lightened her hair for the occation. Mimom is not a European name. Therefore it looks like you are just digging for dirt. I suspect your are not originally Israeli, since you should have known these things.
44. Tippex > censorship Hmmm
Tandy   (03.05.07)
You can count on a group called Tippex to just ask for censorship. I applaud the group for creating a buzz. I hope the song get's censored and this issue will be worked up to get even more attention. Better play the system to say what you need to say than taking that stupid contest seriously. Although I did like Shiri Mimons song. P.S. Where did Teapacks come from. That's such a stupid name.
45. For the last years Israel had pretty songs and now...
michal 16 years old ,   Israel   (03.05.07)
Damn they chose a Stupid band!!! like the tipex! Bring Harel Sakat! or Harel Moyal! or Ninet teeb!! or...or....or....or...we have such a great singers and u put these dombs! but WHY?! but..if finland won last year with the monsters...Israel can do it with the freaky band! GO ISRAEL GOOOOO!
46. The guilty flee where no man pursueth
Shalom Septimus ,   Passaic, NJ, USA   (03.06.07)
History repeats itself. In 1931, German filmmaker Fritz Lang was working on a thriller about a serial killer, with the working title "Die Mörder sind unter uns" (The murderer among us). He received threats from Nazis, who having only heard the title, naturally enough assumed it was about them... the film was eventually released simply titled "M".
47. teapacks banned?
robert fusfeld ,   greenleaf wi   (05.07.07)
if teapacks were an arab group singing about the horrific, deviant jews no one would say a word. this song is clearly about the insanity foisted by all our governments intent upon the use of oppression for control. and, yes, they are ruthless enough to blow us to biddy biddy kingdom come in the name of their G-d: money and power. give it to 'em mr. oz and teapacks. if you ever need a bass player i am ready.
