8. Treating Childrens' Hearts
Rachel ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (03.02.07)
One of the other Israeli newspaper sources yesterday was quoted as saying that the children brought to Israel under this program were not told where they were going to be treated for fear of upsetting them. As these are Kurdish children, and since Israel and the Kurds have had a long and supportive relationship with each other for a long time now, the children should not fear being here and are most welcome.
9. Kurds
tommy ,   belfast uk   (03.02.07)
Great to see at least some Kurds getting a break Many of iraqs maltreated Christians have found refuge with the Kurds However I agree with Alberto Cohen - no pictures-- as there are too many barbarians in the arab world-following a barbarian ideology- look at egypts treatment of abdel kareem--
10. Bravo to the family and to the Kurdish people
Noam ,   Boca Raton, FL   (03.02.07)
It's wonderful to see a Kurdish family who can put humanity over petty political and/or religious differences. The Kurds are loyal friends to the Jewish people, having helped smuggle Jews out of the oppressive conditions in Iraq up until the 1970s (I know one such man now living in Washington DC who was helped by them). And Massoud Barzani has stated that he wants Israel to open a consulate in Iraqi Kurdistan's capital, Erbil. If the situation in Iraq were to calm down, Israelis would flock to Iraqi Kurdistan, with hundreds of charter flights, heritage tours, and simple enjoyment with the righteous Kurdish people.
11. Shevach l'All-a-h
Abdullah ,   EuMe   (03.02.07)
for Israel. Inshall-a-h, one day the name of Israel will be associated with only good (as shown above) in the middle-east, wiht muslims and Jews living in Peace.

May it also be the same with all of us, who cherish peace and understanding. We are all humans,.
13. This Is Difficult
emanon ,   USA   (03.02.07)
And when they go back to Iraq, they will be ostracized for daring to receive help from Jews instead of dying from being treated by doctors in the their own country. The Israeli doctors did the right thing. Humanity should know no bounds. It's just sad that this will be turned against the people receiving the help and mercy.
14. Iraqui Children receiving medical in Israel
leon bialecki, m.d. ,   st. louis,MO-USA   (03.03.07)
What a beautiful gesture by the Israeli medical community. This type of gesture should get wide publicity to dispel the stereotipical notion of Israeli's "racist" policies toward Arabs. I would like to see this printed in the New York Times, The Guardian etc. Why is this not being Done? Where is your PR dept?
15. I dont and will never hate jews
