i have read your post here and let me clear something for you....please learn how to write and express yourself. you come across, not as an antisemite, but as a fool, to say the least. you sound uneducated, uninformed and extremely ignorant. please do us all a favor and hit the books....the history books, that is. then come back and let's hear your pearls of wizdom. it's amazing and very good, we do not know who you are. otherwise, we'd laugh our pants off on your account. also, please refrain from talking for us usa christians who really do not share any of your views as you stated them here. your stupidity and lack of information is appaling.
62. Israel most negative?
Daniel ,   Israel   (03.06.07)
We are the way we are; curtsey our good neighbors! World should see other side too; helping the world in their farm produce with technologies, tonnes of other achievements in medical fields, electronics, etc, in spite of negative support from our neighbors.
63. The results of the poll - as published by the pollsters
Ken B. ,   Toronto, ON, Canada   (03.06.07)
Some of the comments have asked the questions, "which countries were polled?" and "which countries were on the list?" Here are the results of the poll as published by the pollsters: http://www.globescan.com/news_archives/bbccntryview/ The results are broken down by each polled country; complete with graphs. For anyone interested in making a serious contribution to this discussion, it is worth taking a look at. I think it makes more sense to form an opinion based on the data then a media report of that data. Many in this talkback have cited the media as a cause for misconceptions and biases. I agree. Certainly no media outlet is without biases. But if we are to be informed consumers and critics of our media, then we must start by being informed.

In the eyes of the Islamic Regime, you're an infidel and the USA is the big Satan. Israel is the smokescreen, the USA is Iran's main target. Don't sleep through the warning signals Johnson.

Your Ram-bling post clearly shows who you are. Don't believe the saying "ignorance is bliss", go read history and make infrormed and unbiased conclusions, if you able to.

Almost equally amazing is the rating of North Korea. I can't think of a single redeeming quality for that country, but there it is, rated above Israel.

Zvi ,   USA   (03.06.07)
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/6421597.stm " Israel, of course, has long provoked sharp international reactions," (Ummm, how about others provoking Israel? And not being condemned for it the way Israel gets condemned for responding?)
72. Here are the 27 countries.
Zvi ,   USA   (03.06.07)
Canada, USA, Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Iceland, UK, France, Portugal, Germany, Poland, Italy, Hungary, Greece, Turkey, UAE, Lebanon, Nigeria, Kenya, Egypt, Russia, China, India, Australia, Indonesia, South Korea. Here is the link with more details about the survey: i.e. the list of participating countries. http://www.globescan.com/news_archives/bbccntryview/
73. Who gives a damn?
Yair ,   South Africa   (03.06.07)
They're all being fed lies from the international media that we love so much... And who cares anyway? A large percentage of Americans can't even find America on a world map. No offense to Americans; it's a fact, and why should I care what some ignoramus Israel-bashing-media-fed (fed by the Israel-bashing media) person in the US or Europe or whatever thinks? Granted, I believe it's terrible that such negative and untrue images of Israel are allowed to be propagated by the whole freaking world. But the bottom line here is, why the hell should we care what "the world" thinks?..............................where "the world" is probably largely the type of person I've described earlier.... if not generally ignorant, then definitely saturated with lies and falsehoods about Israel. Why should that alter by an iota what we do, say, think?
74. is there a reason why Israel was voted most negatively?
Larissa ,   Australia   (03.06.07)
Maybe you should stop blaming the world for thinking negatively of you and have a look at yourselves and try to improve? “It appears that people around the world tend to look negatively on countries whose profile is marked by the use or pursuit of military power. This includes Israel"
75. another slap on your faces .

Get over yourself... every country capable of doing so, makes a contribution to the world.
77. #65 RE- Lest you forget......
Johnson ,   USA   (03.06.07)
I know full well the dangers of the ideology the Islamist regimes represent. How Israel is used as an excuse to wage some kind of insane holy war. I know full well that America has a big target painted on it. But, I think you did not understand what I meant. I was trying to remind out "friends" around the world that Americans are getting tired of their in-actions, and many of us here may think twice before offering a helping hand next time, and rest assured there will be a next time. To begin with there is a great number of people in this poll, and other polls, who seem to somehow believe that America is always wrong, can do no right, and that fighting back against evil is eviler. Many of the polls appear to be from countries we have either liberated, or supported, or continue to support in one way or another. This is the kind of thanks we get for helping out their sorry asses, as we today are spending our treasure, and spilling our blood in a corner of the world most of us could care less about, and that in the long run will only really benefit that corner of the world, as they sit back and judge our actions, tie our hands through endless resolutions, sympathize with our enemy, bitch and moan about our tactics, and excuse the enemies - all the while enjoying their peace and freedoms while suckling on our teat.

'Woow Israel=Iran Not Bad But...waite [as in Tom?], kids will run if they hear name of Israel. Reality check, world' Christ. How about a grammar check somebody? This guy was obviously one of the people poled by the BBC (and I hope it was a long, rusty pole too ...ba da bum). My suspicion is said pole punctured that part of the brain where the powers of reasoning are stored. 1.5 billion muslims, all hoping to end up in that great brothel in the sky! (but don't forget to purchase your condoms down here, because perhaps god does not truly provide all things).

'is there a reason why Israel was voted most negatively?' ...most negatively? I'd think that in a great English speaking country such as yours you'd learn to speak properly, especially since it's probably the only language you know. '...Israel was voted most negatively' Should read (in part) '...was perceived negatively.'; or was voted most negative.' Now, I suggest you learn your one language a little better, then when you do, you might think a little more clearly, and then you won't make such ridiculous statements (at least not in intelligent company, should you ever come across it - and kangaroos don't count).

81. This is the good news!

Now imagine what the world would think of you if you would get half as much demonizing and negative media coverage from western press and hollywood. Hello world!!!!!!!!!
82. Reply to all morons.
AR ,   USA   (03.06.07)
Ive notice that none of you make your arguments when you disagree with me. You call me racist stupid ignorant etc etc. But none of you say anything that can be construed as an opinion or an idea on the topic (ISRAEL) you make your own opinions of me because i disagree with the idea that a jewish state on muslim land is a good idea. Go ahead say "god gave it to the jews" that argument dosnt fly here with intelligent people. When those books were written people thought the earth was flat. They thought their were two rivers above and below the earth. So if some guy who didnt even understand algebra was trying to tell me that for the rest of time this land belongs to jews i think i would be a little skeptical. If any of you can make the case for Israel existing on Palestinian land please make it and i will listen and look at it from your percpective. But if you are gonna just sit their and blab about god giving the land to the jews 3000 years ago and that their is no such thing as palestine etc etc. Then you are just using weak talking points. Lets forget the name for a second. Arabs were living in Israel when the Europeans and Russians came to Israel and said they were gonna make a jewish state. (By the way i think its hilarious that supporters of an apparthied state such as Israel are calling me racist) Anyways the new arrivals brutally ethnically cleansed the land of its inhabitants and moved their people in. ( you think that is legit? go ahead say america did it to the indians.. but that just hurts your case. Did you forget how horrible what the settlers were doing to the Indians was. Dont compare yourself to something as evil as the Indian Genocide) I will have to say this for the wrest of my life because no very few zionist want to believe that someone can be anti Israel but not anti semetic. I DONT HATE JEWS. I HAVE ALWAYS SYMPATHIZED WITH JEWS. BUT WHEN THEY ARE ACTING CRAZY I WONT BE AFRAID TO TELL THEM. I dont need jewish money and support to win elections. I dont care if the powerful people around the world agree with me or not Israel is wrong. Sorry but that is the truth and if you disagree make your argument and stop with the ignorant childish arguments. Fools. SAM/#61 i wanna hear your great arguments please make them. #69 thank you for your critisism. Ill try and not be stupid and ill informed. Ill do my best to be unbiased.
83. ill say it once more...
Greg ,   New York City   (03.06.07)
i don't care wath the EU thinks. the EU will be soon be the lapdog of fundamentalist Islam, if they aren't already. get ready for Eurabia folks! it's comin'!
84. #79 I apologise profusely.
Larissa ,   Australia   (03.06.07)
It would seem that your problem with my unperfected "English", stems from the fact that you could not raise an argument against my statement. Although irrelevant, I speak 3 languages. (English is not one of them- I speak Aussie instead)
85. To jerome, #53
Jack ,   Melbourne   (03.07.07)
Your response is the same as post 39 " most people in the world.... " (see post 39) and represents a tipical american view "you are with us or against us".
86. The Poll is a joke
Michael ,   USA   (03.07.07)
The BBC is doing it's usual.Creating what they want. Notice the poll DOES NOT include any options to brand ANY arab nations as negative. That's because the "poll" did not include ANY arab nations...and NO Islamic nations except for Iran. What does the world think of Syria, or Saudi Arabia, or Sudan, for example? The BBC "poll" doesn't want that entered into the results...so those countries as well as about 160 others were not included in the polling questions. It's more than disingenuous to brand any nation as "most" negative when the "poll" did not allow for the consideration of ALL nations. It is quite similar to the constructed poll in which people in the EU said that Israel was "the biggest threat to the world". In that "poll" the participants were again limited in what they could answer and in effect were guded to the conclusion the "polsters" wanted.
87. #77 Thanks for the clarification
Lina ,   USA   (03.07.07)
I did misinterpret your statement.
88. Are you surprised?
Matt ,   STL, MO   (03.08.07)
While Israel has refused to comply with UN resolutions and continues to dehumanize and oppress the Palestinians, why is Israel surprised that the rest of the world views it as a force of evil in the world? And while the US continues to back Israel, make excuses for her actions and vow to defend her, Israel (and American Jews) continue to bad-mouth US policy in the region. It is far past time that the US distances itself from Israel and lets Israel deal with the fights that Israel has picked.
