2. elections now!

3. Impressions.
Keren ,   SP-now in Israel   (03.07.07)
And netanyahu seems to be exacly the same as the ones he want out. Isn't he behind gaydamark essays entering politics? Isn't he ,when asked about his views on dealing with the Israeli territories in muslims/arab hands, who said that "talks" should be kept ,more or less the same way they have already been? I have the feeling he is is identical with olmert, just with another face. And my impression is that he intents to keep receiving orders from washington in order to sooner or later deliver the core of Israel.
4. To vote Netanyahu or not vote Netanyahu...
David Hes ,   Toronto, Canada   (03.07.07)
To vote Netanyahu or not vote Netanyahu - that is the question to be put before the people. The Israeli people deserve to have confidence in their government. Clearly they do not have this at present. Olmert and his cronies have proven that they are not only corrupt but also unable to steer this country and its people in the right direction. Elections are needed. NOW!!!
5. Why isn't this loser working as Italy's finance minister?
Michael Steiner   (03.07.07)
Oh, that's right: because he LIED he had ever been offered that job. Loser.
6. BIB SAME AS OLMERT,BIBI DRESSES BETTER I THINK

7. Early elections a waste of time!
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (03.07.07)
The Olmert Government has screwed up but who wants Bibi back? While he did reconstitute the economy (he is after all an economist), look at the price! The elderly living and dying in poverty, children without a decent meal, no money for education and total exploitation of the labor market by employers. That is the Bibi way. The sad fact is that the "status quo" will be maintained and another hamstrung coalition government will ensure. The only way forward is to change the electoral system but it will never happen because it will cost most of our politicians their jobs! So, why waste another 100 million shekels on another useless election. Bibi has no agenda to improve the situation of the poor and the needy. He will certainly do nothing for the North which suffered so heavily in the war and he will certainly not stand up to Yankee pressure. After all, he gave Hebron away at Wye and he will once again, in the true Likud fashion, punish the North by sending the funds allocated to its development to the West Bank to support illegal settlements. Neither leopards nor Netanyahu change their spots!
8. #5 do you prefer Olmert loser or Beilin & Al-Barakeh losers?
Chanan ,   USA   (03.07.07)
take you pick
9. Netanyahu is a Coward
John ,   London,UK   (03.07.07)
Netanyahu is a woman. If he was a man he would be brave enough to admit that we lost the Lebanon war and with it our reputation as a strong military force. But he wont do that because he is a hypocrite. What the entire world now knows, he tries to hide. This is classin tactic of Israeli politicians. Even BBC says that Hezbollah gave Israel a very bloody nose. CBS said Israel could not defeat a strong foe. Its only capable of taking on civilians in Gaza. Netanyahu is deceving the public. He does not care about the reputation of the country. He is only interested in grabing power once again. He is bad news.
10. At last !!

13. Bon Voyage Kadima & Labour.
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (03.07.07)
As they sail off into political oblivion. None too soon, I might add. But watch as our image-conscious & self-interested politicians start to distance themselves from Olmert - he has political leprosy & they don't want his failure to stick to them. Watch as Kadima members see which way the wind is blowing & start deserting the sinking Kadima , leaving the captain to go down with the ship.
14. TO BIBI
DAVID ,   JUDEA   (03.07.07)
We have no confidence in the knesset and its members and other government institutions. So to vote for you would also be a waste. But knowing the short memories of the voters ,they probaly will vote for the likud. The fact that kadima members want to come back to likud, shows how opportunistic they are, they are the rats leaving the sinking ship. And ofcourse you will take them back because you are no better then them. You are al interested in one thing and that is yourselves. That you sit their on our behalve from our tax money is only a minor inconvenience. You will change nothing for us,but will only keep on benefitting, from a corrupt system. By now most of us are at a point off desparation, with little hope of any positive change soo to come. Elections are just another waste of money, with no different end result.
15. Another worthless U.S. puppet
marcel ,   florida   (03.07.07)
NETANYAHU HAD HIS CHANCE AND PROVED TO BE A STOOGE OF FAILED US POLICY WHICH REWARDS ISLAMIC TERRORISM AND PUNISHES ISRAEL IN RETURN. Foll me once shame on me,fool me twice shame on you.
16. I like Olmert, really I do!
Ahmadinejad ,   Iran   (03.07.07)
Please keep Olmert and the other 2 Stooges in power. I see that he is doing nothing about my threats to wipe Israel off of the face of the earth. He's too busy worrying about his public image, lol. He doesn't prepare the public for my coming war. The bomb shelters are in disarray. The gas masks are old. Yes, please keep my good friend Olmert in office. Thank you.
17. to #7 and #9
Concerned Israeli   (03.07.07)
#7 - You need to understand that there is always a price for reforming a crashing economy. Just look at most of South America. They needed what was called "shock therapy" to stop their hyperinflation that was ravaging the economy by the hour. These reforms included cutting government spending (no more welfare), devaluating their currency (money is worth less to the local population), raising interest rates (costs more to borrow) and opening up the market (encourages foreign investment). These reforms are harsh on the population, and caused much damage throughout S. America, as they did in Israel, but they were necessary to save the economy. It's not Bibi that needs to change, it's the whole socialist system that is so wasteful and inefficient that needs reform and that's what Bibi wants to do. It hurts, but it's the only viable solution for the long run. #9 - I bet calling Bibi a woman makes you feel more like a man and that's too bad, but Bibi is not deceiving the public. He blatantly says, over and over again, that Israel failed in the war in Lebanon. And of course he is interested in grabbing power once again. Just like a businessman's job is to make as much money as he can, a politician's job is to influence politics as much as he can. This includes taking credit for it. That's life. We just have to choose the politician that will give us, the people, the greatest benefit as well. The best man for the job right now is Bibi.
18. to number 9
steffan ,   sweden   (03.07.07)
it is funny to me that you do not know your facts. Bibi has stated over and over again how bad Israel failed in lebanon. But it was not the military who lost the war, it was Olmerts gang. Now they are the ones who are saying that they succeeded in the war. Bibi does care about the reputation of Israel, which is why he is saying that new elections are needed. What? You want the country to continue under the weak leadership that it has? Now that is the sign of a man thinking like a woman.
19. Elections are pointless if likud allows
Michael   (03.07.07)
kadima members to come back. We'll have the same mess. We will have a new era of musical parties. When one party loses, all the cronies join another one. Early Elections yes. Those who ran to kadima must fall with kadima. Get the rot out of the system.
20. time for new faces of the Israeli center
avramele   (03.07.07)
lets repalce one failed PM with the person who personified the faillures of a PM? time for new faces...Ayalon, Shetreet, Livni all have integrity and freshness and can bridge the centrist thinking of the vast majority.... Actually to reenlist a former leader I would be excited if there was a groundswell for Dan Meridor! And isn't it just like Bibi to make statements he can't substantiate....
21. It's about TIME BIBI Spoke up
malcolm   (03.08.07)
