Same story in Bethlehem and Nazereth. As Christians believing in the Bible they should all be fully supporting Israel, but they dont, they rather side with the palestinians and muslims in general. Betlechem has already paid the price when the Christians there shrilled "occupation, occupation" alongside their muslim brothers. Now they mostly lost their homes and businesses and have to leave in the night to Gilo checkpoint, then airport to any country that will accept them.

We're really getting a lot out of our peace with Egypt. Such friendly relations - it was really worth giving back the Sinai, wasn't it? Just think, we could have the same warm relations with Syria if we give up the Golan. Then we can return to the 1967 armistice lines & give away Jerusalem - then we can have good neighborly relations with the Hamas gov't in Palestine. After that, we can become a binational state, let in 3 million friendly Arabs and forget about being a Jewish state. Then we can all move to California, if the Americans will let us in.

Over 300,000 Israelis traveled to Egypt last year supporting the Egyptian tourism industry while Israel's hotel rooms were empty and Israeli workers laid off. Israel needs to reciprocate and bar Israelis from traveling to Egypt.

Christians are increasingly being persecuted at a general level in Egypt and in the PA. Having been a persecuted minority for 2000 years, we can remember how hard it is to live at the sufferance of an oppressive system.

Unlike Muslims we do not blindly support a side that is wrong. When Israel kills innocent civilian we criticize Israel, when Palestinians kill innocent Israelis we criticize that out loud. You should come to our churches and listen to the message of tolerance and peace that is preached. We are the only religion that does not incite against others.

The hotels didn't cancel their resevations! It's the Egyptian govt that is keeping them from coming here! As the article said, they had to turn down other reservations in order to make room for these pilgrims. It is the govt of Egypt that should give the pilgrims back their money!!!

While I agree with the point you made, ideally it shouldn't require the government to bar Israelis from visiting Egypt. After all of the recent incidents of anti-Israel incitement, Israelis should voluntarily refuse to travel there.

when I saw this headline I wondered since when did Israel deny entery to any person of the christian faith this is how it appears 'Christians barred from visiting Israel' after reading the article it reminded me of a method utilized by some Rabbis who are involved in certifying the Kashrut of a place when the owners do not want to pay the rabbis demands, they simply place an ad in the local jewish newspaper that this place is no longer under the supervision of this rabbi leaving out the reason of just why. first impressions are exteremly important so if the headline was delibertly made to mislead than that person has no right to have his reports printed

Egyptian Atrocities Against Sudanese Refugees Worsen Feburary 18, 2006 Damanga Coalition for Freedom and Democracy has learned that the Egyptian government has underreported the number of Sudanese refugees killed by Egyptian authorities, and that Egypt continues to perpetrate human rights abuses against Sudanese civilians. Damanga calls upon the United Nations office in Cairo, as well as the greater international community, to intervene on behalf of the embattled refugees. The atrocities committed in Egypt against Sudanese refugees have proved much greater than previously understood. Though Egypt has reported killing 27 Sudanese civilians in December, Damanga has received information from various refugee sources claiming that Egyptian authorities actually have killed more than 100 refugees. Several of these additional killings took place inside Egyptian detention facilities, with some victims of the December attacks succumbing to their wounds and dying in hospitals. Moreover, Damanga has learned that Egyptian authorities tortured detained Sudanese refugees, and several refugees are still unaccounted for. Egyptian authorities arrested or detained a number of surviving refugees, holding them in army and police camps near Cairo. Most have since been released, though dozens remain missing. Damanga's sources report that when releasing refugees, the Egyptian government has released them one by one, breaking apart families and individually transporting refugees to locations far away from their homes, leaving them without the means to return home or contact their relatives.
