Why didn't Israel care to call in UNESCO when authorities in the antiquities dept complained the Waqf destroyed treasures during their dig?

criticize Israel for failing to involve other institutes in the project, probably referring to the UN's World Heritage Committee and Muslim bodies, such as the Waqf. Can you imagine the UN say that " the excavations are not in compliance with international professional standards", and then demand Israel, who is controling the site to involve other institutes. No it wouldn't work. it's one packet, take all or leave all; no roses without thorns !

Really. Why waste your time with UN resolutions and reports? They only kiss you know who's you know what. Does the US ask the Native Americans where to dig a subway? Do the Russians ask ANYONE anything? Who cares what the UN says? It ceased being a useful organization before it was created.

To A. Shultz: You are absolutely correct. Why doesn't Israel have what every US politician have...a rapid response team that gives the correct spin and correct answer to things? Seems like Israeli politicians don't lack the ability to shoot their faces off at eachother....why not at what would really count?

We all know it was declared occupied and then disputed; unilaterally ! have you already finished the disputed phase; unilaterally ?!

Whenyou see UN - know you are seeing Ford Foundation, the Durban debacle, Barghouti and the whole bunch of USA trained Arab propagandists, etc., etc.
