1. This is no surprise
Jon ,   Canada   (03.14.07)
The EU is quite predictable. ....doing everything to undermine Israel.
2. Well now Javier, that IS a surprise . . N O T !
Fred Nerks ,   Israel   (03.14.07)
3. Europe says "Aggressive wars aren't punished if they're
David Teich ,   Rehovot   (03.14.07)
against Jews." Europe doesn't change back the borders of Germany, Poland and Russia, borders changed by the Allies at the end of WWII, a change that created a minimum of 5 million refugees who, btw, didn't have an invented RoR. Rather, Europe says that as long as you declare a war against the single Jewish majority nation, attack it multiple times, and support terrorists, there are no repercussions. If your own actions cause you to lose land originally set for British Palestine but swapped by the Mandatory powers to Syria, you shouldn't be punished for that aggression. No surprise there, especially when the EU is represented by the reprehensible (or prehensile?) Solano.
4. THEN JORDAN 85% MUST BE *RETURNED* TO ISRAEL
THIS IS A FACT ,   ..............DACON9   (03.14.07)
5. EU Supports GLOBAL JIHAD CONQUEST of ALL ISRAEL
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (03.14.07)
The EU betray every Jew and EVERY NON-Muslim on earth.

7. Deja Vu
Reality Check ,   BaGolan   (03.14.07)
In 1938 and 1939, the Eurabians helped the Nazis take Poland and czechoslovakia. Somethings don't change
8. Not. Gonna, Happen.
J   (03.14.07)
9. no way. israel should keep golan for security reasons.
(03.14.07)
syria bribing and manipulating europe. give us back the golan and we'll not send arms and militants and hizbullah to lebanon. again, israel is the scarificial lamb to appease europe and its fear of islamojihadies. outcome? hizbullas and all military extremists will move right into the golan....closer to israel, instead of remaining in lebanon.....new front of attack openning up against israel. does anyone want to bet this will happen once the golan is given back? vison people, vision!
10. golan dispute
(03.14.07)
solana and the entire eu can back whatever they wish. however, no one has the right to push israel into a decision of giving back the golan. first end hizbulla's arm delivery, end the violence on israeli borders, end the kidnappings and the monetary support for militants and hizbulla and then we'll talk about the golan. hizbullah will move into the golan at a drop of a hat if we give it back to syria. we are not idiots!
11. EU
Rami ,   Amman, Jordan   (03.14.07)
God Bless Europe!!!!
12. Why should Syria "recuperate" the Golan?
(03.14.07)
Apart from goodwill, I cannot see any reason why a country should return land captured by them. In this case goodwill should be out of the question since there is far too much of it already as far as giving lands up to the arabs is concerned.
13. EU has no real knowledge of the situation.
(03.14.07)
They are egocentric and selfish fools and Arab-appeasers. They are poison to Israel and to their own future. Look what they have done to even themselves!
14. Golan=Israel
Josef ,   Finland   (03.14.07)
Israel shall never, under any circumstances, give away its own soil. Golan is a part of Israel.
15. Euro scum want to look good at any cost...
DR ,   Florida,USA   (03.14.07)
It doesn't matter that Syria arms, trains and funds hezballah, a terror group. As long as the Muslim world views Europe in a good way, that's all that matters. Appease, Appease and appease. That's all they know how to do.
16. Message to Solana and Assad:
Allan ,   US   (03.14.07)
NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS! Assad - your father lost the Golan in a war he started. Don't go crying that you want it back. You won't! The Golan stays in Israeli hands. Solana - Keep your nose out of things you don't understand.
17. All nice and good
J K ,   NYC, USA   (03.14.07)
But the EU shows its unfairness by not even acknowledging the reason that Syria lost this territory in the first place. Due to an OFFENSIVE war against Israel in 1967 they could easily have sat out of. To give it back does Israel no good. What does Syria have to offer Israel? Empty promises of integration and peace? What happened with the giveback of Sinai to Egypt? Has peace flourished there? The EU had better come up with a good reason on how Israel stands to benefit from returning strategic land to Syria, because, call me blind.....I dont see one.
18. Eurabia=Euroappeasers
Charles ,   Jerusalem   (03.14.07)
Remember the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem supported Hitler and encouraged the Holocaust
19. EUROPEANS HELPING ARAB GOAL TO DESTROY ISRAEL
DAVID P ,   SANTA CRUZ, USA   (03.14.07)
It's hard to believe its been only 65 yrs since we were effectively purged from the continent of Europe for being Jews. It should be no surprise to us that the children of those same individuals who conspired to wipe out our entire population are today helping our enemy neighbors achieve that same goal.
20. The israeli stand should be:
Y ,   N   (03.14.07)
Forget about Gaza, negotiate about the future status of judea and Samaria and never never never give up Golan.
21. Will EU help Syria get back those lands taken by TURKEY?
Alan ,   SA   (03.14.07)
22. solana is our ennemy. We will not forget
Dark Mind   (03.14.07)
23. And What Will Our Gov't. Say?
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (03.14.07)
Not much. They're already paralyzed by scandals, criticism, unpopularity, commissions of inquiry, & sheer incompetence. But they invited this by their own weakness. Do you think no one senses their weakness? The screw-up in the handling of the Lebanon war has consequences. By not attacking Syria at the same time (which we certainly were justified in doing) we opened the door to more problems. By allowing UN forces into Lebanon, we let Hizbollah rebuild it's strength. By not invading Gaza, we are allowing Hamas to imitate Hizbollah even as it forms a unity gov't. to gain legitimacy. Had our gov't clearly stated that peace with Syria was possible ONLY without the Golan instead of issuing tepid statements that the time was not right for talks, we wouldn't hear this crap from Solana.
24. Solona: Give back Ceuta, Melilla, and Basque region
Logic ,   Israel   (03.14.07)
Until then, don't throw stones in glass houses!
25. Mr Solana,
israeli ,   israel   (03.14.07)
you better watch over Al-Andalous and Al-Isbil (Sevilla). who knows, while you are busy pushing for the return the Golan to Syria, the Caliphate might overtake parts of Spain. Just a thought...
26. Jordan is a Palis State
Sam Weinstein ,   USA   (03.14.07)
Jordan is 85% Palis get rid of the aparthied goverment of Jordan and make it a Palis State if the EU continues this interferance in our affairs
27. Is Turkey giving back its Hatay province to Syria as well?
Ali Al-Suri ,   Iskenderun-Hatay   (03.14.07)
What is good for Israel should be good for Turkey as well? The Europeans are not hypocrites, aren't they? http://www.danielpipes.org/blog/586
28. Solana wants to help Syria gain Golan Heights back!!!
Bernd Veening ,   Johannesburg   (03.14.07)
I am amazed at the lack of judgment Solana has shown in making a comment like this. The implications if Isreal giving back such a strategic piece of land are profound. I think he is being ignorant in the extreme to expect Isreal to do this. It was Isreals neighbours that started the 67 war in the first place.
29. Silly!
Zico ,   Brazil   (03.14.07)
Silly government! By keeping golan, Israel has to spent billions for defence, young men and women have to serve in the military. While I live happily and watch formula 1 and football, the poor israelis live in fear.
30. Solana, Plz recheck. Bashar was asking only Golan apples!!
KMR ,   Middle East   (03.14.07)
