Mike ,   Canada   (03.19.07)
Legitimate is Israel reacting with force to cut of the head of Hamas terror. Then the left and Hamas can cry that Israel has no right to defend her self. Sick sick behavour.
3. Not surpised but dumbstruck
marcel ,   florida   (03.19.07)
Stop talking and defeat this enemy you worthless politicians who do nothing but move forward the Islamic agenda against Israel. You are only puppets and stooges of failed U.S. policy which rewards terrorism and this is why you must be run out of office on your rear end's. You inept incompetent adherence to the diabolical Road Map spells disaster for Israel nad yet you continue down this Road farce.

5. Hamas and fatah
tommy ,   belfast uk   (03.19.07)
Now that they are now getting along famously--Do you think abbas could return the weapons and munitions as they are obviously no longer needed Oops sorry hamas seem to be using them at present. To quote abbas "resistance to the Israeli occupation is legitimate."
6. Guess Kadima thinks Hamas was kidding all those times
(03.19.07)
that they sent suicide bombers or when they praise and educate our killers. This means nothing until your bark starts meaning a front brute force attack on the PA. All the high tech in the world means nothing if you dont use them.
7. Hamas true colors are shown to Olmert/Peretz/Peres/Livni
David ,   Jerusalem   (03.19.07)
and to the rest of the fools who believe that Abas is their buddy buddy.

11. Let me understand this...
Steve ,   USA   (03.19.07)
B"H A right-wing worker was sent by the IDF to complete work at a gas terminal. He gets shot at during his maintainance work. Hamas was found responsibile. The IDF did its duty of evacuating the wounded. But it did not return fire or actually guard him while he was doing his work in a dangerous situation. You want to put such insanity on Hamas's shoulders alone? If an army is dispatching someone to complete technical work, it needs to guard that person. And if there is fire, the people shooting should have already been dead for their crime of attempted murder during a military mission. Peretz's declaration that he wants to go straight to Phase II before ending the violence has something to do with this. The army has been hamstrung so it cannot do its critical work and this is the result. This is the unfortunate consequence of having Labor in the government and leading the army. It has its hands tied so it cannot clear the area of terrorists and maintain an area free of arms to prevent such attacks. I am tired of blaming the Arabs for this situation. The Jews need to step back up to the plate to take responsibility.

13. What Normal People Would EVER 'Dialogue' With Genocidal Foes
Adina Kutnicki ,   US   (03.19.07)
One needn't be smacked on the head with a hammer, shot in the hip with a bullet or otherwise terrorized to come to the only sane conclusion - the PA terror entity only wants to destroy Israel. That is the beginning, middle & end of the story. Those who think otherwise are either willfully blind or complicit in the attacks. Take your pick.

Steve are you an idiot all the time or just most.
15. Norway should now be ashamed ...
Maurice ,   Montreal   (03.19.07)
...of its decision to recognize so swiftly the new Palestinian government which is nothing but the result of Abbas's capitulation to the terrorist organization Hamas. I hope the EU will now understand clearly that nothing has changed, and that the Palesttinian government is really controled by Hamas which desires nothing less than the destruction of all Israel.
16. #10 Teif...actually....
DR ,   Florida, USA   (03.19.07)
this is not what you would call a "war". If it was, Israel would be pummeling gaza with shells and tanks would be rolling around the West bank looking for and killing terrorists. Israel is not at war, only defending itself from the suicidal palestinian culture.
17. #11...let me understand something...
DR ,   Florida, USA   (03.19.07)
So you think it is Isreal's fault that Hamas is a trerror group? You think that this shooter acted b/c of the Jews? Dude, with your reasoning, it's a wonder you can even turn on your PC.
18. #14 Steve's comments make sense and your insults don't
(03.19.07)
19. SENIOR DIPLOMATIC OFFICIALS !!!!
DAVID ,   JUDEA   (03.19.07)
No wonder we are the laughing stock of the world. I think any Sederot resident over the age of five already knows this for a long time. But most of us know also that as soon there is a little pressure on these senior officials form europe or the USA they will cave in and talk to these jerks. Giving in and appeasing is the only thing they do meanwhile endangering their own population. If any of us would perform our jobs the way they do we would be fired. This is exactly were one can see how sick the system is.
20. When does the world wake up?
Jimmy ,   New York   (03.19.07)
It amazes me how groups like Hamas, Islamic Jihad, etc still exist. They still exist because Israel is the only country that is not allowed to defend herself. What a bunch of crap! These groups serve no purpose to mankind except for their own selfish and racist end. Enough is enough. It's high time Israel take these people out once and for all.
21. Its way past due--but its undeniably time
Brooke ,   Saving the West   (03.19.07)
Transfer all the palis out of Israel and ALL territories. Watch out for your 5th column Arab Israelis. Its time, sadly, once again to accept that there is great Jew Hatred and a perverse delight in murdering us. Save yourselves and the land G-d gave you. TRANSFER them out. The humane plan is at www.jerusalemsummit.org. They will be the richest refugees in history. Do it now or find moral and brave politicians who understand that this is THE ONLY RESOLUTION. No more negotiating with enemies that will never rest until they murder everybody and steal the land B"H"

marcel ,   Florida   (03.19.07)
If you cannot comprehend what Steve wrote ,it's your time to turn off yopur computer and go back to cartoons. Israel is hamstrung because Israel's leaders get their orders from the U.S. and they do not serve israel's interests. The U.S. won't permit Israel to endanger their fake peace process by going after the Islamic terrorists in Gaza. Got it ?
23. Norway
shlomo felcher ,   Aurora Colorado   (03.20.07)
Calling to all readers that CARE to send e-mails ,letters to the Norwegian embassy in your country .Only 60 years ago this country HAD GUTS, look at them today.(maybe its only the political left.)?
24. #22 Marcel....I get it , but....
DR ,   Florida, USA   (03.20.07)
We have seen Israel act without the US agreeing to it before. The US always calls for restraint by Israel...just to look fair in the international community's eyes, But I believe Israel can and does do whatever it takes to defend herself when the leaders are up to it. I don't think Olmert is a strong enough leader...get Bibi in there and things might be different.
