Why is that?

Strange - there is no mention in any of the reports that this young boy was doing anything other than walking home from school. Strange, then, to see so many people call him "a stone thrower" - obviously a figment of the poster's imagination. I believe that all those who have erroneously stated that he threw stones should be forced to apologise publicty and then go and read a book about property reparation payments.

Jewish men beat their wives and children too unfortunately the community refuses to admit these things happen. Talk any social worker in Crown Heights, and you will get some insightful stories... And your argument is totally irrelevant to this story to begin with... Unfortunately the IDF sends kids into an area that isn't suitable for a 19-20 year old. They don't have the proper training or maturity to handle situations such as these. These are kids placed into villages and towns that are justifiably hostile to their presence. Unfortunately the resistance that they have isn't morale, and having children throwing rocks and stones is rather pathetic. But at the same time, the soldiers shouldn't be there in the first place. A solution needs to be found that stops Israeli soldiers from going into patrolling these towns. Or, perhaps the Palestinians should study and resort to resistance similar to the Hagannah, Irgun and Lehi, whose resistance movements were instrumental in removing an occupying force.

Under these insane conditions it's amasing that we even have elections in parliament, or universities or syndicates when the rest of the mideast are free dicatorship. our ppl have little skirmishes that mean nothing compared to several historical examples of infighting in resistance movements. as for bbc thing, well bbc is way more objective than the freakin CNN or US media, when palastinians are shot in a massacre they are "militants" even if btselem says they're not while israelis are "settlers" with insinuations they're innocent like little house on the prarie, with no reference that they are armed to theri teeth like vigilanties. that's why we don't have peace cause israel has the US media a hostage to its policies, when there is more descent in israel about IDF, there is none in USA.

Why are so many people on here defending what this slap happy soldier did? Of course the border guard are our heros, but not if they decide to engage in extra-caricular ass kickings. even from the non-materialistic aspect, we couldn't found a border for Israel. Are those guards from the army or army police ? as in many incidents like that, we couldn't find the ordinary policemen. We used only to see young military recruits with automatic guns and armoured vehicles.
