If the British soldiers were in Iranian waters, than Iran has every right to take them for questioning. However, I would not trust what the iranian government or navy has to say any further than I could thorw them.

Iran hasn't been in the news much lately. If it wasn't for today's news about the British sailors, we wouldn't have read anything about Iran... Has anyone, for example, read the speech that Ahmadinejad gave 48 hours ago to the Iranian nation on the occasion of Nowruz, the Iranian New Year ??? Well...that says it all!!! I'm going to give you just a brief hint. This comes from IRNA, dated 22.3.07: "The president said that the problem of the world today is ''a handful of racist Zionists who intend to keep the world in a state of hardship , poverty and hostility by appropriation of power and media centers in order to stabilize their rule.'' What were the rules of engagement for when Iran comes and kidnaps UK Marines on UN aproved duty in Iraqi Waters. Why didnt they shoot back instead of going quietly. Where was the RN backup .No planes ,nothing .Didnt they have a "panic button"?. I cant believe how this played out .

It's not clear if the Brits were in Iranian territory or not. It's not clear if this is Brit pretext to war or not (recent history has shown us you can't trust the US or Israel to give you true picture.) It could be retaliation for the US withholding the Iranian officials in Iraq.
