1. SANCTIONS WILL CREATE MORE PROBLEMS
MAHMOOD ,   LONDON-UK   (03.25.07)
As a result of sanctions imposed on Iran last night it may appear to have had a success for the members of the Security Council, but on the other hand, may make Iranians to persue whatever their goals, more enthusiastically and without other countries knowing much about such progress. No wonder the leaders announcing from Tehran of their reslove to continue the research unabatedly. In the long run, I believe the sanctions will back-fire and create more tension and adverse reaction in the Middle East.Is there anyone sharing my thoughts?
2. Attack before it's too late!
Eric ,   Toronto   (03.25.07)
What are world powers and Israel waiting for to flatten all military targets in Iran? Pretty soon it is going to be too late.
3. 1 Mahmoud no one really shares your thoughts.
freedom ,   canada   (03.25.07)
Where do you get your ideas from anyways.... Iran is just another failed state waiting to happen. Perhaps, even sooner than later.
4. #1 Yes, more problems for Iran
Lina ,   USA   (03.25.07)
Thank you for shining the light on Iran's true intentions. So much for nuclear power being for "peaceful" purposes. Nothing done by the fanatic Iranian Regime is peaceful. They will just give their "scientists" another project related to mass destruction. The tension in the ME is emanating from this cancerous regime in Iran. The Iranian people have no say about what the Regime does and they will pay the price for the irresponsible actions of their martyr President. Are you suggesting the Security Council should back off because Iran is dangerous and the sanctions could agitate a psychopath parading nuclear missiles? How would you solve this problem?
5. 'Iran': watch this space . . .
sooner ,   or later   (03.25.07)
K A B O O M !!!
6. #1 - Mahmood are you really that naive ?
Ted ,   London   (03.25.07)
Look at the last act of provocation capturing the British soldiers..doing their routinely job for years now, it is quite clear this was orcestrated by the "enlighted" regime of Iran.. Can you trust that REGIME TO HAVE NUCLEAR CAPABILITY ?? They are pushing the western world to test the resolve of the world.. ideally their own people should topple this crazy regime.. but I wonder..
7. IT STILL DOES NOT MATTER............#3
MAHMOOD ,   LONDON-UK   (03.25.07)
Your comments are welcome.....Canadian.All I can say is having seen exactly what has been happening. Many readers would probably have nothing to say................atleast I did.I dont care what you think, but be around when the actual happenings dissappoint your present forecast. So far your articles have been rerad by me and I can understand your sense of direction very well.
8. LINA HAS ALREADY DRAWN CONCLUSIONS.....#4
MAHMOOD ,   LONDON-UK   (03.25.07)
You dont have to thank me,Lina.Your sarcasm did not reflect my views at all.Don't expect Iran to abide by the NPT,allow inspectors from IAEA and adhere to various other requirements of these bodies if the previoud and yesterdays sanctions are imposed on Iran. The choice of imposing these sanctions or not was for the security Council.Since it decided to impose them the obvious reaction from Iran is not going to be very positive.THAT is the point I was trying to make. The ambiguity surrounding double standards by the West is also a point of contention which,a person like you, tend to ignore.Without going into the details of what I am writing,do little bit of homework and establish the fact that these sanctions will lead to more of the tension in the Middle East than could be the case if Iran's viewpoint is taken into consideration. My point will become more clearer as time goes by,Lina.
9. Iran
jj ,   montreal canada   (03.25.07)
Doesn't any one realize that if Iran hits Israel with either a gas or nuclear bomb it is the end of all the surounding countries like Syria (their great friend) Lebanon, Jordan and especially The Paesinians.in Gaza and west bank. So if all you moslems are happy about Iran's capablities think again you wont be spaired.
10. #8 Blah, blah, blah.......Mahmood
Lina ,   USA   (03.25.07)
Iran is a member of the United Nations. Iran is in non-compliance. Iran has been asked, instructed, encouraged to comply. Bottom line, non-compliance, threats to destroy other countries and provocations have earned Iran these sanctions. And more will follow because the UN/world leaders cannot allow a psychopathic regime to have nuclear power. As an Iranian who tries to give the impression of knowing what is going on inside Iran, why don't you explain how the Iranian Regime's reckless behavior is impacting the Iranian people. And still, you offer no alternate recommendations on how to solve this problem. You're worried about about sanctions agitating the agitator but not worried about the tension and destruction this regime can enact with nuclear power.
11. HI LINA
