I think you watch too much Arab TV. You must understand that it's nothing but hate propaganda. The same goes for Arab education. Consult independent sources, read contrasting points of view. TV (in any country) is not a good source for educating yourself, anyway.

This author is a dreamer, and is out of touch with reality. The Evangelicals who are pro Israel, most of them are left wing and support the Palestinians too. The truth is Evangelism is declining the world over, since it is only gaining converts in poor countries. The richer a Christian get's the less spirtiual he becomes. By contrast Islam is strong spiritually. We would be fools to rely on Evangelicals, when the backlash (already beginning here) comes it's gonna be big. Most American's want the Zionist Christians out. Evangelicals here are turning to the left, and Jimmy Carter (Evangelical) is only one example, there will be many more. These Christians have always expected a lot from us, and when we fail todeliver they turn against us. The Evangelicals will do the same when they realise their Jesus isn't gonna come cuz we're sinners. They want us to live up to their ideal, that is why they support us. Their support is conditional and quite frankly, we should tell them where to go. We need to mobilise support from our own, not others, that is suicide.

First, Israel should be very cautious regarding Evangelical cause their motives in supporting Jewish state are dubious to say the least. You can't compare Palestinians with oppressed people of South Africa during apartheid or African Americans in the 60s or eastern Europeans under USSR during Cold War. And no matter how supportive you may feel for Palestinian cause the recent case of suicide bomber children praising their mother's act on Hammas TV will make you aske some serious questions. And who in the world with even smallest bit of objectiveness can support the Iranian looney president whose greates ambition is to see the End of Days and arrival of Mehdi and his campaign against Israel. The same forces that are enemies of Israel are becoming more and more aggressive in the West, Europe especially and save those who are gone insane by their political correctness others see what is islamism all about. Sadly the governments and media in the West, afraid of raging moslems on the streets worldwide, afraid of sucide bombers throught Europe play the neutral or even proArab role in regard of Middle East. But that is not the fault of Israel, her fault is only the will to survive. Even in borders of 1948. Jewish state will always seem too big to this people.

Mr. Sherman mistakenly believes that Israel is taking part in some kind of international glamor contest and, rather than waste time displaying its own gracious curves, should devote its efforts to pointing out Miss Arabia's warts and pimples. I'm afraid, however, that an attempt to make the Arabs seem ugly is not going to make Israel any more beautiful in the world's eyes. Mr. Sherman's pie-in-the-sky proposals are laughably grandiose and impracticable. And, in the long run, they are simply PR, in the most negative sense of the term. Rather than attempt to manipulate perceptions, Israel could vastly improve its standing by tackling true impediments to international respect: free the occupied territories, end the despicable subjugation of the Palestinians, respect internationally-accepted standards of human rights, eradicate racism at home. Mr. Sherman seems to be fixated on cosmetic image makeovers. These might work for Miss Israel contestants, automobile brands, toothpastes and haemorrhoid medications. Israel's problems are too profound and serious: it needs radiation and chemotherapy, not facelifts and Botox.

Our official Hasbara adopts the untruths propagated by Israel enemies, such as that Western Palestine is Palestine, and this is in clear distinction, to Israel's official Hasbara until Oslo began, when Israel's MFA propagated the message that "Jordan is Palestine" Israeli hasbara has to revert to its objectively true pre-Oslo line and inculcates in the world some basic facts, in particular that there is already a Palestinian Arab State on four-fifths of Palestine (see in particular Julius Stone's book; chapter in pp 22-25) and that there is already an Arab state (being one nation according to their own documents means they deserve one state only). This is cardinal since the whole world thinks that Israel "occupies" "Palestinian land" and thus prevents Palestinian Arab "self-determination". If we kept hammering and focusing on these basic facts, also mentioning Jewish refugees from Arab countries, in particular whenever "Palestinian refugees' are mentioned, than we could change Israel's position dramatically.
