The little guy who is currently running Iran has a lot of big problems at home: He has not delivered on his campaign promises, and is quite unpopular. All he's doing is trying to divert attention from the troubles he is in, with macho-talk about the nuclear program, and the new "show of strength" : The Iranian NAVY ships are actually able to capture rubber dinghies with some sailors in them. Heroic (!) Meanwhile, he makes it impossible for even the russians to support him, so his silly antics are actually a good thing-they just reduce the standing of Tehran even further. Another probable reason for Ahmadinejad's constant posturing is that he's suffering from the "very short man's syndrome". Simple compensation. I would choose very tall men to negotiate with him in every opportunity.
